Difference Between Placing Premade Concrete Blocks and upgrading vs Rebar > Concrete > Rein. Concrete?

Fairly new player to this game so was curious if there was a difference in overall resource use. Seems a tab bit annoying to have to upgrade Rebar plus waiting for mix to dry vs. just placing concrete blocks. From what I understand in a recent alpha version concrete blocks were added yet I see tons of streams and video's where players still place rebar first. I don't notice a hardness difference between revbarred concrete vs concrete blocks, am I missing something here?

I don't recall right now, but is the cost the same? Costs me a lot of concrete to upgrade my cobblestone wall.

It seems so, they both use around the same amount of mix.

Flagstone costs 1 cement and 10 stone, you then use 10 concrete mix to upgrade to reinforced concrete.

You bypass wood and iron needed for rebar. I have stones coming out of my ears so I always build with flagstone > reo concrete

concrete block > reinforced concrete - 15 concrete mix

rebar > concrete > reinforced - 10 concrete mix, 10 wood and iron (not sure on the specific amount per rebar frame)

So id say the concrete block option is the best, since you save on iron and wood (the wood you save can go to fueling more cement mix :P )

BUT even better is that you can make a brick block in the forge then upgrade that straight to reinforced concrete, brick just costs a small amount of clay

All in all it comes down to what resources you have in abundance

Im the same, thank god they increased the small stone stacking to 1000! haha

Just checked and brick costs 20 lay per block so Cobretti's suggestion of flagstone works out cheaper
