Really bad game physics
Im not one to complain about 7DTD, but one of my biggest pet peeves is the physics in this game. One day i decided to remove a small mountain that was in the way of my base moat, and dug around it and underneath it so i can isolate it. After 10 days of mining and TNTing, its still wont go down!! Now i have a floating mountain near my base >_<. While my floors are collapsing so easily (foundation, reinforced floor, etc), I cant even collapse a small mountain!!

Since physics is a pretty recent addition to the game, I wouldn't expect perfection for a while.

For a 1st pass id say you were WAY off base.................... its alpha, aka add the systems/mechanics and see how they perform.

Beta is where the polish/balancing gets added.

Mayyyyyyyyyyyybe this was feedback.......................it all sounds overly emotional to me anymore so i cant really tell.

If you really want to provide useable feednack include a few screenshots and as much details as possible. If you just want to complain about a game 1/2 finished, thats your perogative as well : /

its been in alpha longer then dayz it should be done by now

Well i completely understand this is alpha!! Again, im not trying to put down the marvelous game that TFP provided. Its just compared to Alpha 12, the physics seemed like a step back. In A11 and A12, I take down mountains easily and expected them to crumble. But A13, i felt with the new system, it should have been improved. Yet it felt that it was a step back in the physics department

I can see why this might happen in other programs. A basic explanation is that a block will check to see if it has a connection with other blocks within a given radius. If it does then it won't fall. (over simplified for sake of discussion) Thus the blocks in the center of your mountain see enough blocks around them to anchor it all in place. They have to define some finite variable such as radius to do this that and it's going to have limits like you experienced. Also, as you increase the radius is in my example you decrease the game performance very quickly.

Dayz's development has nothing to do with 7D2D...

Indie alphas don't appear to be any faster than AAA studios.

While corporations get slowed by buearocracy, indie developers get slowed by creative stimulants (aka beer)
