How do I repair cobblestone stairs?

So I can craft cobblestone stairs, and when they get damaged, the game does not want to let me repair them from cobblestone. I need some other material apparently, and the icon pops up in the lower right, but I can't make out what it's supposed to be. Anybody know what to use to repair cobblestone stairs?

Try using a repair tool hammer or stone on the damaged cobblestone stairs with the cobblestone rocks in your inventory it should tell it's subtracting the resources from your inventory if not i would suspect it's a bug.

I am trying to repair them that way, but it is not accepting cobble stone rocks as repair material. It wants something else. It also shows me the icon of the material I should use, but I don't recognize it. Might be a concrete block or something. I don't know.

it takes a LOT of cobblestone rocks to do repairs, usually 10 rocks if the block was 'degraded' a stage.

Upgrading cobblestone to concrete takes concrete powder, which may be what you're seeing.

I got gravel, cement and concrete mix in my inventory, and these are not used to repair cobblestone stairs. Any guess what else it might be?

The likely conclusion here is that cobblestone stairs cannot be repaired at all. They are probably missing a line of code that allows them to be repaired so no matter what resource that you try, it isn't going to happen.

Considering that the same thing happened with the cobblestone blocks at the beginning of this alpha build, the same thing is most likely happening here.

Small Stone + Clay = Cobblestone rocks.
Right click the Cobblestone frame with them in inventory.
I built a lot of that yesterday.

Cobblestone ramps are also broken... it's a bug.

I just tested this. A cobble stone ramp that is partially damaged just a few cracks can not be repaired. I don't even get an icon when trying to repair it. But if you fully bust it down to it's next level it will then take 10 cobblestone to repair it to full.

I was able to also repair from 2nd stage broken.. two repairs of 10 cobble each to bring it to full.

I was also able to fully destroy the block with no issues.

And I just relaized your talking stairs.. let me test those... lol

I've noticed other stairs missing upgrade paths in the game, cobbletone is likely one of them if you cannot reapair them.

Ok, right now you can't repair cobblestone stairs and the item it's asking for is a cobblestone block. As you can't have one of those in your inventory you can't repair the stairs.
