the game has alot of performance issues being that its in an alpha state right now.
im going to say theres no way in hell you will be able to play it with 4g ram.
ram is fairly cheap. get another stick if you can.

I would buy another stick. I tried to play on my nice new laptop, it has 8Gb Ram and it struggled on single player, wouldn't even consider multi on it lol. Ok it's a lappy and I'm told that a lot of folks have problems with laptops, just seemed a bit off considering the pc I play (well, played) on only has 10Gb and runs sweet as a nut.
Not much help I know, and sure as eggs is eggs the game should be fine with the lower Ram once optimisation is done, but, that's a fair ways off still :(

Get more ram. My old PC had 4Gb and struggled to get above 30fps. Usually hovering around 17. And that was without the lovely HD zombags. I've got 8 now and it runs at a constant 50fps but will be adding 4Gb more very soon

It's playable on 4gb ram, but you will need to restart the game reasonably frequently (like say, once an hour?) while having nothing else open aside from like maybe steam. The memory leak is kind of bad, and that's why you'll need to re-launch the game so often.

You own the game. Why are you asking instead of trying?

My GF plays on a laptop with this specs: i3 2330m. 4GB DDR3, GPU intel HD 3000.
It runs reasonably well for that specs (with ALL except Steam closed) and had to restart the game after 2-3hs played.

Everyone experiences different things. When I play on my laptop (and couple years old) it only has 4 gig of ram an no real issue playing the game atall. All be it around 20fps

I've played it on 4gig at 12-15 fps, but the new zombies and the new water effects will slideshow you.

I play it on 4Gb, sure, not on full spec but still; working like a charm

lol if you only have 4gb of RAM, makes me wonder what's the rest of your system specs?

Getting 6\8\32gb of RAM won't do jack if your CPU\GPU is ♥♥♥♥♥♥
