NO HOARD SPAWNING AT THE 7th DAY.
The title says it all. Yes, I saw the blood moon but only 3 zombies showed up that night. They spawned around 22:00 of the 7th day and got frustrated when none follows. I quit playing around 1:00 of the 8th day.

Is this a bug? (I'm new to this game)

The 7th Day Horde was a no-show for me as well...but it's the first time that has happened in a very long time (before A13). I haven't had this issue in any of my other games, SP or MP. Could be an isolated wonky thing...I don't know anything about xml files but if you do you may want to check those out. I'm just waiting for Day 14 and hope the zeds don't bail on the Blood Moon massacre fun. Luckily I've been getting the Screamers and her guests as well as the wandering hordes so I'm still fully entertained :)

Since you're already here, may I ask 1 more question? I think I "despawned" the zombies by myself. Around 23:00, the zombies are aggresively running towards my base but I didnt want to enjoy the show by myself, I quit the game and notify my friends to help me defending our base. And when we reconnected to the server. The zombies are gone. :( DId I just "despawned" them by quitting?

I think sometimes they come earlier in the day, on afew occasions ive been preparing the base and been interupted by a hoard, then at the appointed hour its a no-show.

Ive read other people saying its to do with when you log in on a 7th Day, if its after noon youl get an early hoard.

How do I reply like Mr. Ragequit did. Ohhhh thanks. So they'll attack randomly every 7th day? Sucks. Do these hoards become stronger every 7th day? I really appreciate your replies guys.

The 'quote'-button in the top-right corner of the posts.

Technically, the hordes *should* come at 22.00 every 7th night, but currently the game bugs out, atleast on singleplayer (I'm not sure if this happens on MP), so that if you exit the game and go back on let's say, the evening of day 7, the horde spawns instantly at that time.

And yes, the hordes get stronger each week.

Can you actually "go back"? Like, repeat the previous days? If yes, how?

Now I know my 1st horde is bugged (or maybe not). Are the next hordes will be bugged too?

If you want to go back you have to start over. If you want friends to help you with the 14 day horde log out the day before or day of before the horde spawn... usually around 7pm on day 14. If you don't log out when they have already spawned then you won't bug them out.

I've been getting my hordes on day 5, and the dogs on 3 and 4 - Rest of the time It's pretty quiet on the Northern front

i played a straight 8 days and had wandering hordes on days 3 and 5 with a dog horde on day 6 and ferals never showed up until the 8th night, so it is a bug and doesn`t matter on which day you continue the game.

Two recent current build playthroughs on single player random map and I can report hordes both nights on seventh day.

This most recent one I defended against! Yay!

The other one I was in a crappy building and they beat it up like it was paper (took too long in the week finding reliable food and water and so didn't get to trick the place out much).

I got random hoards every night. But I wouldn't really call it a hoard, they're just giving me like 5 dogs. and some regular dudes. and they spawn individually. Sucks. Guess I'll have to wait for the next 7th day then. Thank you guys.

1 more thing. I set my daily hours to 120 mins per day. Does this also affect their spawn rate or whatsoever?

I had a large horde materialise right by my base at 22:00 on day 7. Far too many for me to fight off so I died lots. I'm not sure if this is normal or not but there were far too many of them and they ate through my defenses like they were butter.

They evetually ate my bedroll so now I'm naked in the forest with four hours of night to go ...
