I expect urban dictionary would put it. Change is bad, m'kay.
In previous version you had steel armor tier 6, always the same 4 mods at it and you know you are god now.
If you want to do the same now e.g. with raider or nomad armor you still have lower armor and you need to adjust your mods too as could still be overencoumbered and can't use plates?
There are a few items which are currently a bit to strong, but non is op and if they balance it at release it will overall good.
I would also like to see... more mod slots become available in armour more quickly. And pocket mods a little more common. Getting a pocket on each slot via crafting and slowly upgrading them was a nice early game bit of progression thats just gone now, unless you get really lucky with schematics.
Everyone's talking about how awful it is that we lost all the customization, But did we really? You character pretty much always looked like garbage by the end of your game, Now you get to actually look cool, Which isn't a loss at all
Look at the shiny, ignore the obvious
I think my main thing with the sets is most players are probably going to just end up preferring specific piece bonuses vs. a complete set to get the set bonus. Maybe I'm wrong - and I'm sure there are some min/max set bonus builds that would kick butt on Insane etc - but as an "average" (or these days, even below "average") player I couldn't care less about the set bonuses as given so far. That said, it's fine they're there/exist so others can use them if they want.
But tbh, I would quite like that. Set bonuses good enough I'd give up 3 really good effecs in order to have.
For example, even if you can drive 200 km/h with no problems, the law says you have to conform to the majority, who drives 90 km/h.
Same principle applies here, that system was great for you, and some people, but they have to conform to the masses who like it simpler and mainstreamed.
the assasin setbonus is also so laughable OP that it feels like playing with cheats currently. the fact they wanna push this to live in 2 weeks already and have maybe 1 update left on experimental is mind boogleing.
plus the removeall of armor platins from heavy armor. well. what are you gonna put into these 4 modslots now? oh right. POCKET MODS. as that is all you can really put now aside 1 bandolier on the chest and a custom fitting. which in turn defeats all point in chest armors which grant extra slots which dumbs choice down for that slot aswell just like the glove one.
where is the balance patch?
In computergames we have had them since the first RPGs saw the light in the 1980s.
On the other hand games with a functional clothing system, that ties into the gameplay are still few and far between in 2024.
I dare to ask, which involved party here refuses itself to innovation.
