t6 Assassin Armor is completely overpowered.
While wearing the full set Zombies will lose track of too fast. I can stand in front of zombies and melee attack them. Each attack is a sneak attack meaning they are losing track of me before I can ready the next attack.

Outside you have a better chance of being spotted, but its still very bad.
Inside a POI though? No chance you will never be found. I know stealth has been hard thing to balance across multiple patches, but you're basically invincible outside of event triggered zombies and bloodmoons.

Yeah, assassin's armor is OP. Especially at night, your visibility outside is 0 and you can just sneak right next to zombies and whack them dead with machete and sneak attacks. Even triggered zombies in high tier POIs lose you pretty much the second you break the line of sight and crouch down, most of them never aggro and just wander around slowly after waking up. Only blood moon zombies can detect you no matter what you do. I really like playing stealthy but atm it's a bit too much and basically just insta-cheese.
EDIT. And oh boy is it occasionally hard to find all zombies in clear quests, buggers won't wake up and if it's some less familiar POI it can take a while.

Don't Worry, even content creators are like "This is too OP" and when they do that, TFP will take it away...Josh.

I'm not sure if Josh even got the full T6 assassin's set yet, I think he was looking for legendary parts for it in last episode.

It's not just the assassin armor. I'm wearing nerd outfit armor now, and by my THIRD blood moon I have already maxed a bunch of skills to 100, due to possible chance of a 2nd skill pt from magazines. That's just nuts.

Yup, it's never been this easy to cheese. If you put point or two in armors you'll get skill mags to craft any type of armor in no time, then get full assassin's set and nerd outfit for reading magazines. With assassin's set you can just spend all nights looting mailboxes, Crack-A-Books and Savage Countries and get all necessary skills maxed up and piles of legendary parts silly fast. On my main 1.0 save I had full tier 6 gear and gyrocopter by day 24 and didn't even use nerd armor.

maybe i dont know what im talking about, but staying crouched with a full set assassin armor seems to negate the wasteland rush, regular walking they will start locking in on you, but in sneak mode you just dont exist

Before 1.0 stealth and knives were absolutely pitiful. Now they are not. Stealth is OP because all of us who played pre-alpha blitzed and min-maxed into stealth expecting it to perform like it did pre 1.0. Instead we got the stealth mechanics from Skyrim.

Am I disappointed? No. We had a lot of threads about how Stealth was a useless in the past. I absolutely love that TFP listened to us and buffed it. You can even get up high in a building and kind of wait out a blood moon, which while it seems stupidly OP is in reality one of the only options to survive with a knife build when hiding isn't viable.

There was indeed many threads complaining that stealth builds were dead before V1.0.

I hope they don't nerf it too much and kill stealth builds again. The goal is to reach the right balance and that's not easy. I like to have many working builds in the game.

They have definitely overcorrected the problem unfortunately. I just shouldn't be able to walk into a tier 5 infestation, hit a trigger that wakes up literally 20 zombies... and none of them come running. (Edit: this isn't a theory situation, I just played this out today). I can approach each and every one in stealth and melee them. Its not 100% reliable, but its reliable enough.

Heck, its making the game far safer at NIGHT than it is during the day.

The assassins outfit SETBONUS is OP.

You can do exactly same with all other light armour and medium sets (put adv mufflers in outfit slots) if you put all your points in stealth skills.

same with me, but if you spend say 30 points in agility to get all those skills and the armor its cause you want to play stealth why cry about how others want to play ive never made anything but a max str/int class and if you nerf the shot gun cause it does over 300 damage a shot because its OP? then we will have problems cause your getting in the way of how i would like to play this game.... I for one dont think it is a problem the way stealth is cause some people wanna feel like an assassin and go all slow and quiet through a iop but i want to go loud and hard with heavy armor and a shot gun we all got diffrent styles stop trying to ruin the game for others

look i dont know what settings you have it on but on default i believe 1 day is 1 hour so thats 24 hours so thats plenty of time to have good stuff right? so what is your problem exactly? you dont want tier best weapons and armor till what like 80 hours in the game and gyrocopter till 120 hours in well i for one dont want that ok after 30 hours in a crafting survial if im not on or near the best gear yet i might just drop the game cause it sounds like a hell of a grind
Thrax Aug 10, 2024 @ 10:24am
Simply just don't use it then? Play how you want to play.
OH! MY CAR Aug 10, 2024 @ 11:02am
That is end game gear though, and it does not work vs the horde.

Not saying it isnt OP, but not sure if it is really any better than just spamming a shotgun.

I run 90 minute days, warrior difficulty, horde every 5th day, no loot respawn, default XP & loot with few difficulty tweaks that don't affect the loot like nightmare speed on horde nights etc.
Don't know how long you've been playing but lets put that in some clear numbers. To be able to craft that maxed gear (pistols, knives, spears, bows, armor) and get the gyrocopter you need to find 75 Deep Cuts magazines, 100 Bow Hunter magazines, 75 Sharp Sticks magazines, 100 Handgun magazines, 75 Armored Up-magazines and 100 Vehicles magazines. Also had maxed my workstation skills too which takes 75 Forge Ahead magazines. That's 600 magazines, and got tons of paper and other mags & books too so you might realize how insane amounts of them you can loot in no time since you have pretty much nothing to fear at night and can just crouch run through all mailboxes and Crack-A-Books you can find no matter what biome.
I'm super lazy player and very prone to cheesing if it's possible, but even for me this is a bit too much.
