Definitely not an epic moment. And they wonder why Steam is everyone's first choice.

Launch the game without EAC. This will now work for multiplayer sadly

I want that gone as well.

You can change the platform to not use EOS at all in single player, but I don't know exactly how in 1.0, earlier versions was a simple platform.cfg file edit.
Wozed 15 AGO 2024 a las 8:06
EOS is for crossplatform, EAC is something else.

Thought EOS and EAC were the same things. I have removed my previous post. Thanks for correcting me.

They basically are. EAC is part of EOS. Epic Online Services (EOS) contains the "service" Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC), among other things. Just like how Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) is part of Steamworks.

I don't know what your deleted post said, but 7D2D uses EAC, which can be disabled in the game launcher if EOS is having issues. You need to disable EAC for most mods anyway.

I have EAC disabled and I sometimes still get the error saying Epic online services could not connect I usually have to restart the game to get it to work sometimes restart a few times.
Wozed 15 AGO 2024 a las 10:06
Ok ok, EAC is anti cheat, easy to turn off in options, not relevent to OP problem.
EOS is for Crossplatform, Is always on by default. But you can tell the game to not use crossplatform.
In many previous versions all you needed is to go in the file platform.cfg in the same folder as the .exe and..

platform=Steam
crossplatform=
serverplatforms=Steam,

This does NOT work in 1.0, but there is a way to make it work, I just don't know the change they did, someone posted how to do it in another similar topic.
There is really no point in having either of these things when playing 100% solo.

hi.. not sure if this helps

if i see this:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3308841150

to make it go away and run normal (i start with eac turned off).. i just re verify program files in steam options. it re acquires a small file and fixes the eos notification. at least for me it does.

all the best.
