Since Jars were removed in A21, the only recipe for Snow is Yucca Smoothie (which only requires Yucca BlueBerries Snow and Patience), but you could still throw a snowball to distract Zombies (just like Stones).
Wow, yeah, I didn't notice that they removed the snow recipe to make it into murky water. What the heck are they doing to this game? Utter nonsense.
Someone should get to work on that.
I never, ever, waste points on that "perk." Not worth it.
During alphas you got your glass or can back when you ate or drank everything out of it. Now glasses and cans are just gone.
Who the ♥♥♥♥ thought that this is an improvement to the previous versions? I never ran out of something to drink, now it´s like every other survival game where you can be glad when you have 10 glasses of drinkable stuff during the first couple of days.
I think the only reason for this is to force the players to spend more time in the crafting process which is just a huge drawback. I don´t like the release version of 7DTD.
As it's been stated for the past 18 months or so, that's the point. Thirst has never been a problem in 7D2D.
But no worries. They nerfed the dew collectors so much that I have to dedicate a chest to fluids before the Day 14 horde. Which is fine. Duck tape usage is up in 1.0, so I need the water.
I really don't bother with trader quests on Day 1 anymore. Just the buried treasure quest to get it off the table, and a few Dukes.
It's much more efficient to go old school looting door-to-door at houses and POIs than it is to run back and forth, back and forth to the trader. And if I don't find a pot, I'll sell loot to Rekt before he closes so I can boil water. 4 duct tape, 4 pipes, and 100 polymer is easy on Day 1.
I think a big problem comes from people watching YouTubers who rush through POIs, and they learn from them to value 20 lead ore and toss out water and food.
Yes, I see YouTubers all the time throw out valuable stuff for 20 pieces of lead ore.
getting first aide is sooooo easy.
correction: buy a cooking pot from the trader on the first day (if not looted yet), and not sprint, jump, or engage every single enemy they find.
And also stop chasing chickens and rabbits.
Either shoot them with a ranged weapon, a bow if you're good enough (needs practice), or only attack one that's stuck near a fence/wall.
