Armor is better now and if you disagree you're bald
The armor system is actually pretty good. Explain to me how exactly the old system is better and more simple. It's not. It was pretty jank actually. I dare you to prove me wrong.
idk why people don't just accept the changes and be happy the game has even come this far cause most indie games don't.
Edit: I'm not going to read responses bigger than 2 paragraphs.

Some say new armor has these "magical" stats on it. Like, these are not very realistic. I have absolutely no idea why people want video games to be realistic.

Why would anybody be happy that they have removed clothing and weather from a survival game? The old system was what was promised in the Kickstarter. They even made the stretch goal for bandits, in 2014.

It is still not finished. It still says game is in development on loading screen. This is A22, they called it 1.0 so it could be release on console because apparently selling 18million copies already is not enough to add NPC's or a story. This was never an indie game, that was stated on the Kickstarter too the devs had previously worked on major titles.

Me either.

Part of what makes games so fun is the fact that they're not realistic, the more realistic they get the less fun they are.
Especially when it comes to how they look.

When it comes to games, everything is more important than "graphics", and yet so many companies only seem to care about graphics these days, well that and cash shops, gotta squeeze every little cent they can out of their customers right :)

I mean they could have added the magical stats to the old armor system too, just saying. If thats the main reason you think its better. As I feel alot of the armor sets just look stupid as hell in a22 personally.

Ofc it's not finished, they have an official road map with many content patches still to come (including wardrobe, outfits and weather btw).

But the topic is about armors and I agree with OP that the new armor system is better than the old one. Some parts may need a bit of balance tho.

They removed outfits and weather. Bandits were fully funded in the 2014 Kickstarter, and were promised in 2 years. 'Roadmaps' mean nothing.

I'm happier that it's the way it is now because it's more simple. I don't know why I should have to devote my already few brain cells to figuring out what to wear when now I can just slap on a set and call it a day.

No sadly, agreeing would just grow your hair back. It's a really sad economy we live in don't you agree?

From the looks of the roadmap, clothing/cosmetics is going to be DLC, or did I read it wrong?

Roadmaps mean nothing when the devs are lying to you
