Edit: oooooh scary a clown... But who is the clown really🤔
As for the gentleman that suggested searching first you have a valid point, that is usually what I will do. As it turns out it worked out fine.
I would say that at the start, the best you can do is to save trader's money from quests and all you can gather and use that money to buy a cooking pot (not so easy as before to find a cooking pot at the first days)
Well, i have been playing the test buld since they released it to the public and starting a new game with almost each new beta, and i never found a cooking pot before the day 3 or 4 at least (on random worlds and doing quests non-stop since the first day ofc) I didn't try to get into random houses to loot the kitchen, but any other kitchen i have seen from quests...no cooking pots. Maybe just bad luck, but on previous alphas i usually found a pot at the first day even just doing quests, probably at the first house with a kitchen.
In any case, imo a cooking pot is the most important survival item to get asap to avoid depending on random loot (and to always have enough stamina to run if needed!)
