Why didn't y'all just go into beta instead?
This game is definitely not finished, where's the promised bandits? Having to wait an entire year after the supposedly 1.0 release for a few bandit models to be added into the game is ridiculous lol.

So they have an excuse to charge more than double the price for the same product on all platforms.

Everyone kept complaining about the game being in alpha for 12 years and this what you get.

Those of us who didn't care about a label and understood the process kept warning all of you that a label doesn't matter and you ignored us and threw a fit because the game wasn't at 1.0 yet. Now reap what you sow.

I never argued that point. I'm only calling out the clowns who argued my point for years. And you know who are.

I was the same way for a long time. I never wanted the updates to stop. Now, I kinda do so that the community all just gets on the same page and starts making mods to flesh out the game proper. I've lost faith in the dev team and frankly they seem to be on a trajectory to make the game quite abit different than where it was originally headed - and I think it's partly due to console focus (and the limitations and restrictions that come with it).

Free tip: Dont waste your time, to learn they must make the effort first for themselves, no effort? then no time to teach.

People complained that it was never finished. Guess what. It's 1.0 and it's still not finished. I don't mean just bug fixes after release. They still have a road map of things they want to change. If it wasn't so sad it would be funny.

No - they complained how 7d2d still is early access, and how TFP "abuses" this, to be not accountable for the quality of the product, and to just milk money as their sole motivation. (without explaining latter one in a coherent manner).

Every attempt to convince them, that leaving EA does not magically make the game a finished one was fruitless.

Now to the big surprise of some, the product left EA, and this didn't magically make the missing things appear in game.

It was 100% due to console red tape. Something to do with Sony/MS certification red tape so they had to give it a 1.0 sticker so those companies would allow it to come out on their consoles.

And now we're all stuck with a game being developed running on parity with static hardware and red-tape restrictions. Fun-Fun.

It's already pushing those consoles hard - The series S version looks like a blurry mess and all of them are stuttery and skipping. Bandits aren't even in the game yet and they've already tapped out the CPUs on them.

It's funny watching the dynamic res kick in on the console as if it's the GPUs on them that are stressed - it doesn't fix the FPS or stutter - just makes the game blurry.

We're stuck running on parity with those limitations. Yay.

Except is has not left EA, if it did it would not still have the "This is pre-release software" warning on the title screen. Its just alpha 22 with a v1.0 sticker so they can get console money (as Sony/MS and certification for it to come out on console required it) and justify a price increase, there is deff not anywhere near enough actually new stuff to justify a price hike, considering most people feel a22 aka 1.0 is a big downgrade compared to a21.2. Most games when they go 1.0 though have a massive patch with massive amounts of new content etc, while 7dtd has had none of that, other than the new armor system, forced tediousness and prettier graphics the game is no diff than a21.2 at its core. Most 1.0 releases of a early access game have a HELL of a ton more stuff than just one new thing.

yeah expect to see pc patches delayed for weeks due to having to wait for MS/Sony ceritifcation now on consoles, happens everytime a game gets a console version when it was orignally just pc. As the devs wanna keep the game versions the same and they know console players will cry if pc gets a patch before they do. It happened with Palworld, several of the xbox patches for the game were delayed by 1-2 weeks due to having to wait on MS to certify the patch, thankfully the devs at Palworld were smart and released the pc patch when it was ready, so for 2 weeks or so the consoles lagged behind pc, as PC was the games main market just like 7dtd's is. Yes I know a15 was on console but that got support droped for it real quick so it doesn't count.

Also expect upcoming game features to be less detailed and in depth due to it coming out on console as well, thats another downside to a pc only game coming out on console, it gets gutted and dumbed down more often than not. You can already see some of the gutting they did for consoles in v1.0 it sticks out like a huge swollen sore thumb with a sign on it saying "LOOK AT ME!".

And then charge console players a brand new game when they update 7days with bandits. It's already the 2nd time this game has been released on console
