But we all know how reliable that is.
They have been announced since 2017 as " 100% in the next Alpha release guys!"
so i wont hold my breath of them ever being added.
If they appear someday i take it as a nice surprise.
i thought it was 2017, glad to know at least that memory wasn't wrong.
Just seems to be the way with these sort of games. They spend decades in development, add a handful of actual improvements a year (!f that. With a lot of light switch flicking back and forth) and then stay quiet while modders show that they are more competent than the devs.
I echo this sentiment only because the missing kickstarter things are suddenly being called "stretch goals"
When you take 430 x $50 thats $21,000 from 430 people who paid for a map and they never got one. You take all of the backing funds totaling 500k, thats 500 grand from people who believed they could "play as a zombie" and "watch the leaderboards of the wasteland" and " bandit NPCs".
Game went 1.0 and theres no bandits
What is the leaderboard of the wasteland?
Play as a zombie literally is being sold, not given, but sold as a different game on the same platform.
High. Sea. Thievery. Someones already gone after their shady practices internally, wonder when someone external will too.
"we will do our best to fulfill the goals". Yeah you probably should do that, you stole money then partied for 7 years before realizing "whoops better finish that stale garbage"
My money is still with TFP, I have seen second party modded npc's in videos and I am not even close to being impressed.
Sometimes, it's a good thing to actually do enough reading about an issue before spouting off an opinion. I get that patience is not always easily found. I get that it does seem like a long time in coming and perhaps it will fail. But no one can know that.
Then again the modders also have to rely on the game being somewhat in a stable state (as they will have to keep on updating them after every little change that TFP make when they decide to flip more light switches on and off) which it will never be, at least not within the devs lifetimes.
I don't worship at the feet of modders, but I get they offer variations lacking in base game.
I will always side with TFP and their direction until there is some evidence of malfeasance.
fold it five ways, and put it where the moon don't shine.
