What is point of game?
Kinda hard to figure out without a normal save system. Ruins the entire game. Play on hardcore get constantly killed to bugs. So bad.

Point is to survive, explore, loot and have fun. Game's fine. A little too easy. Turn the difficulty down and try again.

You should never try "hardcore" settings until you have some idea how the game is designed and played. It can be unforgiving on moderate settings.

Killed to what exact bugs? Your HP went to negative or you starved to death?

No living Human can force you to play this game. If you don't like it, play a different game.

I can't imagine playing this for the first time on max difficulty with daily blood moons, zombies moving at max speed 24/7 and feral senses on 100% of the time. Even worse if you shut off air drops, drop loot density to minimum, shut off loot respawn...

Best way to play the first time is to leave most of the settings alone, or all of them. Put in 3 or 4 game days, minimum, then decide what you like and don't like and tweak accordingly. You can change almost everything after you start a game except for the map itself so you don't have to start fresh.

Kill zombies and build stuff. It's not complicated.

It's a sandbox, so... nothing? At least, I hope it isn't getting that last mining/gathering challenge done.

Killed by what bugs? There are plenty of issues with the game but I never died to a bug or issue.. usually only by eating glass after leveling up and/or having too many debuffs.

There is no actual point of the game. You have no plot or storyline to accomplish.

Not that there is anything wrong with that. It's pretty much Minecraft, but with more Zombies. Build, explore, loot, craft, collect.

There was supposed to be a storyline released in the past, and it's on their "roadmap", however, I wouldn't expect it based on their inability to keep true to past release goals. And while I'd like to see it, I have to acknowledge that I still sunk in hundreds of hours and had fun without one being there.

The reason you can't find the point is because TFP released an incomplete game.

That's because you're thinkin' like a dad. 7 Days To Die, it don't got no winner. It don't got no objective. You just ♥♥♥♥♥♥' build an' ♥♥♥♥. And seein' if other things can come and knock it down.

Yep, and about half way through development the game was closer to being complete than it is now... too many re-works, overhauls, and re-starts.

There is no actual point to the game? Well, that ain't exactly true. Stand still and do nothin' and you'll see what I mean.

No plot or storyline? Well, that ain't true neither. It ain't spinnin' no hand holdin' step-by-step tale but there's a story there if you bother to pay attention and use yer eyes.

your competing against yourself. how aggressive you are determines how fast you advance but also your risk of death.. which can set you back further than if you were less aggressive. i start by surviving.. collecting.. building.. not agro'ing zombies. as i get a safe place to unload and craft.. i gradually move outward exploring for loot.. (very very first thing i do is the initial quests up to finding a trader, then loot every mailbox and vehicle you can find) .. till lvl 60ish.. i survive hordes. i do not Harvest hordes. i get no exp from those early hordes.. after lvl 60ish.. i exploit hordes.. lot of exp there. and you can do hordes without admins rigging the server in creative mode i wont spoil the game.. but trial and error works.. if you die .. try doing things differently next time.. stop a min and figure out why you died.. and change your methods and strategy. depending on cheats to play the game.. just ruins it.. and the challenge. i avoid games where admins use magic powers to effect game play. the ONLY reason you die to a horde is cus you havent played and learned how to not die. or your playing insane mode.. which is insane. ..
