Warning all for peformance loss 13/14th gen intel are unstable no game fault for performance bad if u have that chip
Gamer nexus and other youtubers even servers experienced chips are dying and its true my intel i9-14900k exploded 12 days ago i cannot belive it funny thing it was limited to PL1 125W PL2 125W i started to decrease power and voltage after 2-3 month`s of buying that cpu now i saved the most of my computer but ill just warn all if u are in the same situation just RMA the damn cpu is dangerous this is for all the games since i did not see any warning on the forum here i don`t want other people experience losing a computer that cost 6000$ just for a cpu that is broken fault INTEL

Cool story bro.
Pics or it didn't happen...

My sub-par-by-comparison ryzen cpu is yet to "explode" from playing 7dtd.

Known issue starting with the 12th-gen.

I have been posting this for a while now when people bring up ♥♥♥♥♥♥ performance and mention that they are on a newer Intel CPU.

For those of you with the fancy Intel 12th-gen and newer CPU's, this can help to prevent Windows from putting the game on the worthless half of your CPU cores.
Take control of your Intel CPU's P-Cores and E-Cores with CoreDirector software[http//Take+control+of+your+Intel+CPU%27s+P-Cores+and+E-Cores+with+CoreDirector+software]
It can probably fix your crappy performance, but not guaranteed if you didn't bother to clean the bloatware up on your system or follow Excluding the Client from Security Software.

For those of you with the newer 13th and 14th-gen Intel CPU's, here are a couple of articles you should note.
Intel's high-end 13th Gen and 14th Gen CPUs have a major problem[www.xda-developers.com]
June 2024 Guidance regarding Intel Core 13th and 14th Gen K/KF/KS instability reports[community.intel.com]
Do note that this will likely require some more advanced tweaking of settings in your BIOS, or updating your BIOS. Welcome to the joys of owning a computer. Especially when the manufacturer of your chipset cares more about metrics than the end users.

Wait so this is actually a thing? I honestly though it might be a troll xD
I'll enjoy myself some humble pie while I give thanks for having a sub-par ryzen cpu lol

I havent heard any reports of 12th gen, Just the 13th and 14th gens, and it does indeed appear intel knew of the problem last year. It must be bad.

Intel is not saying anything because they dont want to be legally on the hook for replacing all these defective parts.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clown world when your best legal defense is not to say anything. "Sir, we did not know.". Pretty much what happened to me after being poisoned, everyone just acted like it wasnt possible and they didnt want to hear anything because they didnt want to help me. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ western society is a ♥♥♥♥ hole.

it's a little of both.. the cpus are experiencing accelerated degradation *(under stock settings). meaning they can't hold the same boost clock they used to without having instability/crashing/blue screens that's a far cry from dying or exploding. they still function. however the average user is probably not savvy enough to go into bios and dial down the boost clock.

Lowered amps/watts to Intel recommended for 14900k and set boost clock lock to 55x so max 5.5 ghz and praying it doesn't die. Also used Thermalgrizzly cpu plate to keep the chip from bending from stock cpu hold down. If it dies I'm going AMD.

I blame intels shoddy hyperthread handling. When a background process in windows takes primary thread your games get pushed onto other threads in the CPU. If the handle gets dropped in an error switching threads. CRASH. If windows or any software to emulate windows is updating or going out of date and the Core needs the direct channels. CRASH.
AMD may not have the Hyperthreading and Energy saver thread controller. But they make up for it with pure power.
Save some trouble googling how to stabilize how to optimize Intel stuff. Just order or drive down to a Best Buy and get a better chip. and Good thermal paste.
and
If your afraid of popping open your stuff and doing it yourself.... Google Jayz 2 Centz. or Linus Tech Tips. Look up there numerous how to vids on every single set up and every single chip thats out there.
My CPU i5-3330 3ghz, I think it's something like 12th gen & that's run very well since +10years until to today... I can play it with all games AAA on WIn 7/10/11 no problem of peformance/FPS/heat...

The hardware scheduling issue was only present in the early days of 12th gen in some games and 7d2d wasn't even one of them.
Forcing against defaults of the hardware such as this and core parking on 12,13 and 14th gen will just detiorate performance.

although you can experience perfomance boost by disabling HT or SMT if you have 6 or more physical cores since this game has very limited multithreading and tasks always get shuffled into these parallel threads

I mean lets be real games as a whole don't use multicores properly even today. Like for how cpu intensive 7dtd is it should be using more than only 10-15% of my cpu, but do to poor coding or otherwise, it only seems to run on 2 cores maybe 3 max. Most cpu's these days have 8+cores if not higher.

I had no idea the 13th gen intel had issues too. Never had any but Ive only used my PC for like 10ish months now.
What I have started to experience all of a sudden after one GPU Driver patch is No Signal from graphics card. Never happened before, now just started to happen. One driver update came after I reported the issue to Nvidia, it made it a little better and Ive only experienced no signal once after that but definitely not alright yet, and its most likely the drivers causing it because the PC worked fine up to the point of one update in GPU drivers.

You been living under a rock? :D

Back on topic, anyone still buying Intel gets what they deserve tbh, they are still in oh ♥♥♥♥ mode after keeping everyone on 4 cores due to lack of innovation for 10+ years and now getting spanked by AMD for the next 10+ years :D
