Is 1.0 worth playing or wait a bit more?
Off the bat I want to make clear that I dislike The Fun Pimps, but, I do like the game.
I just can't condone the developers for 12 years of Early Access, a console cash grab and multiple promises broke. Would not surprise me they sell bandits and/or story as DLCs.

That said, I'd like to gather opinions of those who have played the Experimental 1.0 launch.
My last game was in 2023, has enough changed to make it a new experience?

i honestly view it as an avacado.

you either hate them or really enjoy them.

me personally they stripped everything i loved about the game. (which i dont play anymore either. i got all achievements and i experienced it all on max difficulty)

and others love the game in 1.0 from what i see. although looks like a majority of people here don't like avacados....but people speak out when they dislike something and be quiet when they like it...so...my take is give it a go and just see.
you may enjoy it.

No its not worth the new price. It crashes randomly and there is so much broken with it.

Worth it. I am having a blast.

Normally if I start playing 7D2D I am then hooked for days/weeks. I booted up version 1 expecting it to be the same but this time it didn't bang for me at all. For the 1st time playing the game I felt bored.
Plus, they have stuck with the stupid water mechanic. I thought they would have changed it seeing as how the majority of players hate this FUp mechanic.

What I'll say....is that it's going to be a great building block for mod authors as soon as they learn to navigate it and put in better, more thorough systems.
That said, I don't expect DF or UL updates to 1.0 for a year, at the very least.

This happens for me with all games. You play EA release....... wait a bit for major update.... play again..... further updates..... play again. At this point I'm doing pretty much the same stuff and already know I have to do a, b, c etc....... Like following a road map ...... lose interest. The fun part for me is working stuff out and learning how to do things. This particular game though seems to have changed to more of a looter shooter. I played quite a bit early on but as time went by with each dip back into it, my enthusiasm waned a bit more. I guess each person values their time differently. Some people are happy to spend every waking moment playing the same game and some aren't.

No, not much has really changed in terms of exciting additions or changes since last year.

Same game for me, except for the new skins. It seems a little harder to play. I played Alpha 22 on warrior difficulty last week, now I play default (adventurer? ) after reading some posts complaining about the difficulty.
No crashes yet, very few glitches too... Allthoough... I somehow 'lost' 2 steel pickaxes..

I would highly suggest you go play one of the many fine mods available instead of wasting your time on the so called 1.0 release. I have played 1.0 for about 15 hours and am not impressed with any of the changes.

I say no, I'm beyond annoyed that the game has gone gold 1.0 and we are STILL BETA testing their crap!
Oneblock Jun 26, 2024 @ 2:10pm
By playing the game that is tacit approval. Ask me if I buy or even use Nestle products given to me after their baby milk in africa crap.

Nah, Id wait till next year when bandits come out, hopefully.
Right now it feels like the same game, but maybe slightly more difficult, which can be both good and bad depending on how you play.

1.0 isnt very different to the previous version, allmost nothing got added.
we have new armors ok and a few vehicle mods, but besides that its mostly the same game.
