Dont log out near traders!

This will probably get moved, but I am on a pregen 6k map, and lost a really solid 14 day run recently.

Solid play, good looting, hard early fights. Logged by Trader Jens, went shopping IRL for chow.

Logged back in, world was white, I started taking massive dmg, died. Subsequent loads, same result. Hadnt backed up, so, lost the save.

Logging out near another trader also cost another guy on the bugs thread a 70 day game. So far located 2 others with exact same issue, but I think on different maps.

Sorry if this was covered already. But, it seems to be a real issue.

EDIT: Seems more like its a vehicle teleport bug thats gotten some of the rest of you, logging out in vehicle. I was on my bike at the time.

Define "near traders." My bases are always as close to a trader as possible. The only limit is when I can place my lc block. Never had an issue. Or are you literally near the trader like within spitting distance?

i would assume it would be in the "tp away when closed" zone around the traders.

Other people have reported a similar problem logging out while on a vehicle. It appears to be related to the teleporting vehicles issue. Perhaps you were on a vehicle when you logged out?

I've logged out near traders many times and never had a problem.

I have a base right beside the traders too, outside of the dead zone. My game failed just after I left the traders and logged out while I was still in the dead zone. I think yes too, TP range.

I have done that before in earlier patches, and even in the traders store itself. But this is first logout in the new patches.

That is the issue. It has nothing to do with traders.

But on my other thread its three of us right now, including a 70 day guy, who logged out beside traders.

This exactly happens in other cases?

The other guy said he was on a bicycle.

I thought about helping you in that thread 24 hours ago, since you have made 3 or 4 threads about this over the last 24 hours spread across the forums. But the last time I tried to help you in the support forum, you got very nasty in response to the correct accurate information from me about your self-modding of the game files and told me to go away.

I never said you don't know what to do. That was other people. I merely told you why doing it was a bad idea and how it can permanently mess up a save game. I was polite and informative the entire time. You became agitated and hateful and told me to go away. :)

And you are welcome. After 24 hours of posting about it, this is apparently very important to you, and I decided to risk your anger again.

You dont have much of a memory, do you? Yes, I can recall why I started to get snarky. The thread:

No, 10 days ago, and basically perfect play with the driving for 7 days before this showed up.

Does that sound like these two are connected then? Not sure how bugs work, but usually they show up pretty fast. My editing completely crashed the game. I think too, but I might forget, I think I did a complete reinstall after that. I thought I had messed up some file irreparably and brought it all back in. I forgot to mention that, but that was what I did.

Yeah, don't think it's the traders. I log out in their compound often and never have a problem. That's single player of course. MP would be a problem.

Ok! Issue settled then. Still, that means it can sink a save at any time. Hopefully its rare.

This is a mischaracterization of that whole mess we went through in Jan, and you are still upset about it, even when i said "I dont know wtf I am doing and I just made a new save, so there" (paraphrase) and you call it "incorrect information".

Theres a word for people who either willingly, or unwittingly interpret someones post so badly. But we are not allowed name calling so I will leave that here.

Nice part about this is: At least I dont have to see your inane replies anymore. Thus, we are saving your fragile soul from having to "risk my anger again".
