Support has never been stopped, you can still download older versions of UL, for A16, A19 and A20, work on version for 1.1 is under way, more update posts on my socials like x: https://x.com/SubquakeLV

It's just me working on Undead Legacy, during summer someone offered to help with some unique 3d models for the mod, but at the end of the day it still all relies on me to get the actual things functional and integrated in the mod, by writing the game code and xml to make it all work.

Complicated things take time and guys have to understand that upcoming 2.7 update isn't just me updating what was already there in 2.6 for v1.1, but it will come with all the improvements, and code changes I was planning to do to the mod for the update. If there's no release, it doesn't mean that the mod is dead, it just means it takes time to develop those new features, some of the new ones - no one else would even dare to do like the upcoming overhaul of the electricity system, that required me to completely rewrite how the bloody thing works in the game, that alone took me like 6 months to rework.

Sit tight, nothing has changed in regards to the release date, meanwhile enjoy other overhauls, other games etc.

He hasn't stopped. You could argue that he's trying to add too much in one update which has delayed a release.

There are a number of overhaul mods which make huge changes to the game like UL does, but I wouldn't say they are similar. What aspects of that mod do you like? That might get a better answer.

Darkness Falls is my favorite overhaul mod but 1.0 broke it so patiently waiting for the 1.0 update to it. Hordes get very difficult theres more zombies and demons that require changing base strategy, would recommend

darkness falls isnt like undead legacy AT ALL.

which is what the tc is looking for.

darkness falls has nothing to do with the vanilla design or a zombie game anymore. its more like doom in alot of aspects. which isnt bad as a mod but its nothing like undead legacy in that design regard.

sadly tc youre out of luck : no overhaul like that exists.

you might wanna try afterlife which is KINDA similar but still has differences. sadly came out just 2 months before 1.0 so not updated of course.

i doubt undead legacy ever returns. author made the same statement he made last year regarding a21 release. it never happend. and given a23 is suppose to release before christmas i would say its a safe bet UL wont be comeing back anytime soon if ever. which is a shame. its the most polished overhaul out there.

It was :( I think it will release year after last 7d2d update. So maybe in 5 years from now.

P.S. You can look for SnowBee on youtube - he is covering most overhaul mods (short summaries) and their updates for 1.0.
Maybe check Ravenhearst - it's not 1.0 ready but was quite fun.

There's no reason to wrongfully call him out like this.

Some people are so impatient and so quick to call something abandoned if you don't get an update every single week. My god, you people are unbearable.

The updates take so long because Subquake makes more advanced changes to the game than any other creator out there in order to complete what his idea of the mod should be.

Not too mention that he and his team have to go back and make changes after single every major update by TFP.

Give the guy a break. If you can't wait then move on and play another overahul mod.

February 2025 and nothing. You still holding onto this same statement?

He lives a good life because of his patrons donating to him - why should he rush with it? As long as he gets payed by those patrons he doesn't even have to do a normal job, just live his life and take money from them for doing a little bit of work on his mod - or just pretending to do so. doesn't matter.
I am a big fan of UL from back in the day. Donated as I loved the mod so much. Wanted to play 7 days to day recently again after a long break and was happy to see that Undead Legacy is still being worked on. Looking forward to the release. I know modding is passion project and takes time. You do this for free after all, it isnt a job. Just know you have a lot of fans looking forward to the release. Thanks for your work and all the hours ive already played on your mod. I cant go back to vanilla after UL. lol
