Can't put banded plate in heavy armor
You know, because plate carriers don't exist in real life.

Nerf fire next guys, fire is not hot in real life, get out of town.

Yep heavy armor won't accept those mods. It's in the patch notes, I believe.

Yes I'm reading them now. Just change heavy armor to not so heavy sorta/maybe armor.

Pretty sure its because you'd hit literal 100% dmg immunity in t6 plate w/ armor mods, the way the armor formula works. So getting to 95% and getting to run stealth/mobility seems fine?

they need to nerf the armors baseline ratings. they are FAR too high overall. instead of doing this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. armor mods are super limited already right now. this makes it WORSE.

its also hilarious how they nerfed the preacher CHEST bonus but not the gloves which is the actual problematic one.

you could reach like 87% resistence before alpha 22 already with steel armor and plate mods.

so letting us get to 85-90% now is totally fine aswell.

the fact that early game got ALOT easier in alpha 22 is a joke. you get like 35% dmg reduction before you face your FIRST ZOMBIE. thats more than FULL PADDED armor before in a21 except that padded was alot harder to get on top.

I agree, devs are drunk on their own power and supply. Now they have essentially made 2 mods useless for the majority of armor. Might as well delete it.

How confident are people in that the Preacher Gloves benefit all weapons? My char screen displays their improvement for melee weapons, but not for ranged weapons (I compared Sledgehammer, Bow, AK-47, and PumpShotgun). Also, has anyone confirmed that +60% really makes a difference? Considering having 10 Strength is something like 300% Headshot damage (to be fair I haven't checked this number since like A18, maybe it's less now), I'm not sure raising that to 360% in addition to all the other %'s (perk levels and weapon mods) will be game-breaking.

That aside, I'd agree that heavy armor isn't very useful, considering it's usually bleeding-out that kills you once several conditions nerf your max health. Also the mobility hit from all-heavy armor is pretty harsh.

just shoot something with and without the gloves, they affect melee & range dmg.

i cant even wrap my head around how the devs could put these into the game, not only do they have double (or more in some cases) the damage boost of specialized gloves, but its for all weapons against almost everything.

totally agree, just nerf the base values instead of removing mods.

What you are seeing live is the death of a great game...lack of direction, not listening to the community (who have millions of combined hours in the game), and changes that are poorly implemented and mostly untested (100% they stopped playing their own game in A18). All these are signs that our beloved 7 Days to Die has finally reached the 7th day and is dead.

so what about my T5 and under heavy armor? why do they get shat on not being able to get armor buff mods. I believe this is another "one or another, not both" situation, same with quest sharing. Nerf armor rating overall OR prevent mods from being put on heavy armor.

They are taking away our ability to customize. I'd rather have my play-dough body back with 5 mods per each piece of armour. Devs are crazy, now these two mods are useless, and 3 mod slots is way too little. Just wanted to say something, not like they care.

its a seperate multiplier dude. its its own thing. it isnt just added to headshot % dmg.

and it applys to everything. this is not rocket sciene to test within 5 minutes. so dont believe the UI. TEST IT yourself.

what kills you ends your run in my case. and it was funnly enough never bleeding out. dmg per hit from 1 zombie isnt an issue. never was even on highest difficulty. what kills you if anything is getting cornered and swarmed. or get suprised by 3 random feral bikers. yes. its always BIKERS. the most unbalanced zombie in the entire game.
