With these things your stealth gets really strong, I went around in tier 4 POI and killed most enemies with knife without them noticing me. I have not tried enough in areas where they force trigger but might work well in quite many situations with assassin set losing aggro.
Knife works fine to fight the zombies that trigger in the POI I have tried, I haven't tried tier 5 POI yet. It has high damage and I think it does a 20% slow+dot for 50 seconds after you hit someone.
to further clarify: there are invisible blocks just after path points in POIs that automatically trigger the zeds in the next area.
there is NOTHING that will stop this.
OP is asking if there is any way to disable the triggers.
the answer is a plain "no"
avoiding the triggers and shooting zeds before entering the new area is NOT disabling the triggers, and stealth isn't factored into the trigger whatsoever.
edit: the only thing i can think of that could possibly disable the triggers is if you went into the prefab editor and removed them one by one, if that's even possible.
and even then, that would be way too much work for a player to do.
Plus, when I play 7D, I want to immerse myself in a zombie apocalypse, not think about how to cheese some game mechanics.
So the truth then is, 7D is a shooter now. And since it is 1.0 now, that is not going to change back.
I guess they are done with the "give me an apocalypse to survive" players, and are now aiming for the "give me something dumb to shoot" audience.
The question is how much TIME and RESEARCH are you willing to spend?
You would likely have to edit each POI individually and remove the trigger mechanisms per instance. This would be time consuming and tedious but eventually that would give you the desired result. Essentially you would be creating your own mod for the game.
Now you just need to figure out if you're willing to learn the process and spend that amount of time for your objective.
If you look at some of the overhaul mods out there like Undead Legacy, Afterlife, Darkness Falls etc, they have committed many more multiples of time to achieve their goals to change the game into the vision that they had.
So YES there is a way. But most will not want to commit that amount of time to make it happen.
