A higher res version of the roadmap from their FAQ. Looks like some things are delayed even longer than expected, but looking forward to some of those features, like weather.

Ive kinda always had that thought like y does it matter whether the game is in alpha or released? The first alpha might as well have been 1.0.Since the content patches can be released in basicaly the same manner.Y did ppl want 1.0 so badly?

Someone can correct me if im wrong, but 7 days to die, I BELIEVE, its the longest early access game ever lol...over 10 years in early access. I believe they are going to version 1.0 thanks to the console version finally being updated. if it wasnt for a console release, I assure you, early access might of went for much much longer. But after close to 2k hours, I really dont care haha, I am definitely looking forward to the road map tho!

This should be interesting to see how people react to this. Best of luck to the devs with the launch but ultimately if they keep adding the content after launch what is the difference really? As far as im concerned i love the game and dont care if they keep it in EA or call it released. Amounts to the same thing if they continue to update the game IMHO. But, again, best of luck to the devs with the release and thanks for a game (one of my favourites) thats had so much content added over the years. Your hard work is appreciated by some of us :)

I totally agree with you and I think the same thing as you! is like I said to someone else, they're going version 1.0 due to console release (my opinion) I find this news, a little weird to be honest. Dropping this news, OUT OF NOWHERE. idk...

Plenty of games have been in EA longer TBH. Project Zomboid, Star Citizen, Unreal World and Kenshi to name just a few.

7 Days releasing to 1.0 just to sell DLC's
I don't like to be negative but the game is nowhere near ready for 1.0, lets just be completely honest. The game needs a lot of work. I believe they are only releasing 1.0 so they can come out with the cosmetic DLC's afterwards which they have said in their new roadmap. We aren't even getting the story until Q4 of 2025, OVER A YEAR.
With this and the new game they are coming out which is just a minigame of 7 days to die, it seems they are desperate to make money right now.
I wonder what everyone else is thinking.

7daystodie.com is down.

Probably got flooded with people looking for info

I've never seen a man looking like he wanted to cuss people out so bad read a prompt so hard, lol.

It doesn't really mean anything, I'm assuming they just got sick of reading the early access jokes. I've been around since Alpha 6, so I don't even blink when I see that roadmap. Back to business as usual.

Oh, I do feel bad for the console players, though. "♥♥♥♥ you very much for waiting, now buy it again." :Toxic_Geralt:

Doesnt 1.0 after 21 Alphas usually mean its heading into Beta?
