Rando's popping into accidentally open servers (or intentionally left open) is a recipe for disaster, IMHO.
Check out some of the streamers community servers, the servers advertised in the official forums, or advertised on steam, and you should be able to find a place to play.
I suppose it has been the standard two weeks since the last time someone started a thread with the same information too.
Game is designed for solo or small-group co-op. Which is pretty much how most people play it.
It is not designed for, and does not support, high population servers.
This coop group began playing 5 years ago. I started playing solo 10 years ago. I have nearly 4k hours in it.
But hey, some person (not talking about OP btw) on a forum will say this game has no replayability and is dead... ok, random person, anything that can pleases you I guess.
The game has been in the top 100 most played games on Steam for almost 10 years. Not bad for an indy game without replayability, lol.
For OP, I never open my games to general public, I play solo or with friends only. I guess most of us do. IMO, that game isn't great for PVP, but is great for solo or coop MP.
Almost everyone plays solo or co-op on a closed server with people they know. Lots of players, very, very few open public servers. The vast majority of games won't show at all because they're set to private in the game settings. 7DTD just isn't a public multiplayer type of game.
Its also an incredible game to mod so a lot of custom servers out there.
lmao saying dead game when it was never intended to be played on public servers
The players are fighting Zombies, so yeah it could be called a "Dead Game"
When 1.0 drops the servers will get a lot more active, for awhile anyway.
