Why cant we change the color of lights?

In POIs you see a rainbow of different colors, and non can be built.

When I leave the base and come back the lights I built sometimes change color.

I hope in 1.0 we have the option to create colored lights as I think that would add a bunch to base building.

the light bulbs will randomly change from normal to green to red to flashing. Its been like that for years. I'm sure someone will come in claiming theyve never seen that happen before, but I wont care about those people. Cuz its true, it happens.

IIRC it had to do with game performance, too many individual lights doing too many individual things, but I might be wrong.

And yes, the standard bulb and industrial bulb notoriously will change color or flicker at random.

oh its fine, I suppose my wording is rightfully interpreted as me not believing you here. I slightly misrepresented, unintentionally, how I feel.

I do believe plenty of people havent seen that happen before. What I mean to say is, I've seen people say "ive never seen that happen before" tacked onto a post about how the lights are fine and not broken... and those are the opinions I don't care to hear.

You can use the following mod: POI Light Master[www.nexusmods.com]. Thats the only one that makes it possible in game like in the prefab editor.

I think I only noticed it once, that a color was changed and only when copying a light block.
