Dirteedeeds has 7 Days to Die

TNT Strip mining

Made allot of TNT, been strip mining. But finding the TNT destroys the Iron deposits and leaves the Stone, Potassium Nitrate, Lead Ore, Coal Ore to pick up only.... Anybody else experiencing the same issue?

Blow up only one at a time if you can. It has a chance to destroy any deposit not just iron, especially when it is next to the ore..

I think the smart way to go about it is to use tnt until you find the deposit, then switch to a pickaxe to mine it.

Mining with explosives is a fools idea. Only thing good about explosives is that it can help mine you a tunnel or room faster than the pick axe. You don't mine with tnt unless you plan to blow up the ore your trying to mine.

Like zoikwild said. Just use one at a time and you should be fine. A second explosion will destroy any loose items

Yep. Use only one bundle at a time.
Chaining TNT is awesome but you don't have any control.

The Elusive Auger is much better when you find one.

Mmmm, auger! I can't imagine mining without one.

Now I spend a lot of time (re)checking gas stations and the warehouse to find more gas. :)

Yah i got a Auger love it. It does suck down gas like a ♥♥♥♥ e though. But way better then pickaxe. Thanks for the responses.

Making gas with cornmeal and water isn't too bad if you're quick at picking up the corn and you have plenty of water.

How do you guys avoid attracting a horde when you use the auger, though?

I don't/can't avoid it. Lots of tunnels and turns to get to my pit tho, and I've only seen a few spawn or somehow make it down there.

Funny tho, they caused a massive cave-in of my mining pit today, killing me in the process.

Not sure if it was their combined weight, or they were digging to get to me, but it was nasty.

i dug a deep tunnel then carved out a small room, at this point all i hit was stone. I made a hole in the rockface and placed my TNT then BOOM took out a chunk of rock, a few more times then i hit Iron, lead etc and switched to my pick to take the ore. It was a happy day when i made my first batch of buckshot, i now have over 300 shotgun shells :D

Yah dig deep make a copule long hallways and you are good. Never had any zombo's come down for me. Peice of cake. Went all the way down to the bedrock. Finding Tungsten steel.

Infidel plz detail! I have not read the hotfix notes or tested! You are scaring me.

Edit: just read the notes. Was it an unintentional item break? I cant see anything referring to my favorite boom sticks.
