The buried supplies quests are always a goto for me at the start. Later on I usually just start quests to respawn the buildings loot.

Very much so, though, if you are near or in the snow biome, and are in very early game, it's a very dangerous proposition due to the lions, mountain men, and bears. You must be very careful. The same holds true for the burned biome and the wasteland. Learning to sneak and knowing which POIs are easier to loot and which need lots of care will come with time.

Understand, 7 Days to Die is not a game that you play once and you're done with it. This game is intended for repeated play... play, learn a bit, die, start over, you know more this time, play and learn even more, die... that sort of thing. Some folks play perma death, where they choose to begin again if they die. Others will play until they have done all they wish to do in that particular world, then start over again. Death is only a temporary setback, you know.

This game is designed so that every person can adjust it and play it in THEIR way, with the settings set to enhance their personal play style. Check all the settings you have available to you INCLUDING those for multi player. All those settings are there for you to enhance your game and can be changed at any time during the game without messing up anything you've already accomplished. You can even turn the zombies totally off until you're able to get your feet under you, a base built, and know a bit more and can deal with the world a bit easier. Don't give up... when you have questions, come ask. There are some really nice people here in the forums who want you to enjoy your game.

One piece of advice also that makes quests much better overall in my opinion. Put 1 point at least in daring adventurer. That one point gives you a 3rd reward to choose from. Which can make a huge difference early on for things to pick from.

ooh ok my next point will go to that

daring adventurer is a crazy good perk.

at 5/5 points (which takes a lot of investment) you get 5 choices and get to take two rewards.

The trader also tends to sell items (in A19 anyway) that you otherwise won't have access to like bikes, cars, actual guns, rebar, and concrete.

The best advice I can give you about the quests is to loot the house when you get there and then start the quest since it respawns everything in the house. Essentially you can loot it twice.

Yeah in A19 they've tiered the looting more strictly, you won't randomly find a steel tool in your first week anymore. Traders and their quests however are not fully balanced in this way yet so once you're doing tier 4 and 5 quests you can get powerful end game loot much earlier than you would loot it.

Obviously this is sort of gaming the system and won't be permanent, but even then doing a quest basically gives you extra reward for dong what you would do anyway, kill zombies and loot places. And as others mentioned, Daring Adventure is a very good perk to have.

yes, maxing out your barter and adventurer is probably the most busted build in a19. it doesnt matter what the trader gives you from doing quests, most of the time its trash, so i just take whatever is worth the most dukes so i can sell it. you will be swimming in so many dukes that you will be able to buy whatever you want whenever you want, and since doing quests will unlock special missions to tell you where a trader is without having to search for him doing scout runs, you will have plenty of opportunities to use your better barter skill to look at the traders secret stash, which is where most of the good stuff is.

I looked at stripping down the house and then do quest for everything to pop again as a flaw or cheating IMO. Me and my cousin would go to a house and strip it down till nothing was left but the wood house. If there was a car near the house or in the garage , take apart the refrig, stove, air conditioner , any work stations all the loot boxes especially if the house had brass in it , concrete piles just about everything was taken. Then come out and start the quest an boom all comes back again like a treasure box within a treasure box think its a bit cheesy but i took advantage of it because i thought it would be something that would be fixed sooner or later. If not the house at least the loot boxes should not appear until the quest is activated but whatever. WE even just for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles took the whole house down and all that was left was the lot it stood on just to start the quest and have the house appear right in front of you lol to funny.

welp all I can say is if the dev's didn't approve of it they wouldn't have added it to the game. Didn't used to be a thing till they made it a thing. Can't add something to the game like that and then fault people for using it. Personally I think the candies are way worse. super cheap food buffs that can last 10 minutes? You know what 10 minutes of 50% extra pipe bomb damage can do?

Seriously with just that candy and the bomb perks 60 pipe bombs cleared the entire first two horde nights on warrior. 60 pipe bombs aren't hard to get.

We went through a dynamite phase, blowing the whole place up until it's a hole in the ground, then click on the quest marker. The whole POI reappears. Not only was it fun, it was good practice learning where to place the dynamite so that only one shot would collapse the whole building.

We also loot and breakdown everything before starting a quest and I found more hidden loot by going through this process. I chop a sofa away and notice a crooked wall plate or wrench a bed to find hidden loot under it. Not to mention signs, paintings, bulls eye, shelves, ceiling tile, etc. Plus, it's good practice, thoroughly going over a POI, knowing where the zombies and good loot are. Then there's all that extra experience points you gain from doing it.

rewards range from ammo to explosives, books you may need and gear. and they can reset a POI or generate a box underground full of goodies. doing enough quests will have them point to another trader and upgrade the quest tier you can do, improving the loot and XP gain a bit.

yeah, they are worth doing if you find yourself lacking supplies. but i only do them after taking the first pip in the daring adventurer perk. even if you dont Int spec, 1 point could mean the difference between something you actually want and being stuck between the choices of a giant douche and a turd sandwich.

Most of the time (unless my mods are influencing this) you can choose from 100 ammo up to a whopping 200, which can add up extremely quickly especially when you can possibly get two of the same ammo reward, I ended up getting around 1000 ammo in a really short span with DA maxed
