These phantom notes?
https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?37739-Alpha-14-Info-and-Keypoints
Feel less snotty now?
Nobody wants to play Paper Doll Simulator.
Perfect analogy. Absolutely.
Those aren't notes, those are an old list of what was being worked on in A14 and includes vague stuff like hundreds of xml fixes which can include temperature settings.
That being said it sounds like the people you play with suck, the temperature system is super easy and is not hard to survive with.
But anyway ... I haven't heard/seen anything about such via Madmole's posts. They're happy with the GUI and the RWG size limit...but no word on the temp system.
You and your friends could just disable the weather system while playing, btw.
We played 30-40 hours (of A13 alone) and it was put on some clothes, take them off, put them on again, take....
A toggle we didn't see or an xml adjustment?
I don't feel the game is as you say, maybe if you switch to differents extreme biome in the same run, but usually if your not in the Desert, burned forest or snow, you can wander around most other biome without having to dress/undress like you say...
Actually i rarelly change cloths, most of the time i'll just remove my shades at night and it's all fixed...
Anyway who would keep their shades at night walking in a forest?
You have to link your steam account to the 7 days to die website before you can post on their website. I had the same issue, created an account on their website couldn' t post in the forums until I linked my steam account to the 7 days to die website.
Open console (usually the ~ key) and type
weathersurvival off.
Hit enter. Close console. You'd have to repeat it every time you restart/load a savegame (unless Admin can set it to always be like that, no clue)
Alternatively, the weathersurvival.xml parameters can be altered to reduce certain weather effect, elevation height and activity temp changes to a pretty minimal thing.
It really is not that hard to maintain a fairly even temperature as long as you pay attention to the stats on your clothing. If you are going to be in the snow then wear a cloth cap not a football helmet. Also iron armor will chill you out in the cold whereas scrap armor will warm you slightly. Goggles also warm you up.
Of course puffer coat on or off can make a huge difference.
For the heat a cowboy hat and iron armor works wonders.
You can also play around with the various drinks with coffee warming you and chrysanthemum tea coolling you and golden rod tea being neutral.
It is actually a fairly decent working system if you think % instead of degrees.
