Is it better to burn small stone or gravel in the forge?

Usually you can tell what is best on the "Forge Weight" value on items, but small stone, don't have such a value, but you can test it by just puttin in one of each, after eachother, in a forge. Haven't tested this myself, since i haven't been interested before now when you asked....heeh, but i will, and will get back to you soon.

Ok made the quick test and since you get 5 stone in a forge for each 1 small stone, and 20 for 1 gravel, and you can stack stone by 1000, and gravel stacked with 500, overall gravel IS best to put in the forge.

How many stones does it take to make gravel prob all comes out even in the end.

It takes 4 small stone to make 1 gravel so if small stone is 5 and gravel is 20 in the forge then it is the same. By making the stone into gravel first you get the crafting experience of stone to gravel. If you have the time then yes turn the stone into gravel first.

It took the devs a while that it is not good idea to have gravel have more stone weight than 4 small stones, that it is crafted from
