Cant Loot Anything

How do I fix the bug that causes me to be unable to loot anything that would be considered a "container"? For whatever reason, it also causes vehicles to not spawn in right. Or maybe it's two separate bugs, but I never have one without the other. I can log into the game, load the save file, get into the game, but then I can't loot anything. A prompt to loot doesnt even show up. If I'm looking at a pile of trash, I may as well be looking at the ground with my bare hands equipped. Anyone know how to fix this?

Sounds like the drone bug, is it an old save/older alpha? and did you lose a drone?

Nah, I'm talking about when I first log into a brand new save on the latest stable release. I suppose that may have been confusing, the way I said it. I logged into the brand new save, and couldn't loot anything. So I logged out, did all the usual things like restart the game, restart my computer, reinstall the game, delete the %AppData% 7 Days to Die folder, etc. And none of that worked. I still can't loot anything when I log into the save file or start a brand new game.

Have you installed mods before? and there is a save folder in documents too with some old saves, maybe delete or move that.

Yes, I have installed them before, but there are none installed right now. It's a fresh install.

Maybe some other hidden mod folder? I say this because I seen others with this issue have installed mods at some point too, I have not installed mods, I know it's a fresh install, but maybe try still right click the game in steam, properties, installed files and verify integrity of the game, in case some mod folder is overwriting files.

For the mod thing, 'God Bless The Dead' is correct. Older versions of 7DTD used to store mods in:
<drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\Mods
or somewhere in the 7DTD install folder. Maybe search in there for any ModInfo.xml files.

I was wondering if you have a ui setting that is somehow hiding the options? I would be interested to know what happens
- if you use 'E' anyway, even if there is no menu.
- if you destroy a container, does a bag drop (may need to test that a few times as some containers down have anything)
- If you dropped something on the floor, like wood. Do you get an option to pick-up?
- What do you mean 'causes vehicles to not spawn in right.' What is different about them?

Are there any warning in the log file?
<drive>:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\logs
If a statement or parameter is being ignore it should appear as a warning in the log file. Though you mention reinstalling so it shouldnt be the case but worth checking the log file anyway.
