No promises about anything happening within the next ten years. ;-)

Everything in between are just fixes and very small changes to fine-tune A21. No need to get upset.

when are you sending all the refunds?
I will gladly pay $30 for a DLC with new cointent. But instead of new content devs mess with existing game mechanics, changing things that are perfectly fine.
After more than 1000 hours in the game I am seriously thinking to change my review to negative just because of the lazy and stubborn devs,
That is only half the truth - or less.
Most changed system where either early placeholder (and communicated as such at the time) or did not work very well.
And apart of those changes, TFP pushed the technical aspect of the game much further In the direction, that will allow them to incorporate the missing features.
It was more than aparent, that the a16 engine neither had the reserves to support the planned features, nor the ability to handle the visual quality TFP is aiming at.
And let's not forget how far the distant-land part of the engine has been pushed until today.
Unlike 7 years ago, distant land placeholders wor so we'll, that in this discipline a game where free-vixel-building is a thing, isn't really distinguishable form any vertex and fixed-model type of game.
That is pretty unique out there. (Name another game)
Alpha mainly is technical stuff.
If you were out for gameplay-updates EA in general, might not really be your cup of tea.
For a large part, the point of updates is not to give you new content. If that is all you consider an update to be, then you have horrible misconceptions about how software development works.
This was originally a feature that was removed because of problems that it caused with stability, and did not function in an overall pleasing way. It was removed as a result of that, and brought back once the AI and other system mechanics were updated to support it properly.
This is why the developers have supported modding since day 1. The base Vanilla game is being designed to support the developers vision of how they want the game to be, not yours.
essentially the devs change their minds so often that it will never will be finished. Reworking how core mechanics work almost every alpha is just a "Teufelskreis"
Ok before we get into each thing want to list 5 things 1) Content 2) Accessories 3)Cosmetics 4) Revamped/Reworked 5) Fixes NOW i wil plug in one of these to each of the things thats listed here
1)Environment Art - NOT CONTENT does nothing to add more game play time but it looks pretty
2)Graphic Design Art -NOT CONTENT again adding no game time and yes looks pretty
3) Loot Container Changes- Reworked
4)POI and Biome Difficulty Improvements= Reworked/revamped
5)Chunk Reset System Fixes
6) Perk Book Reworks - this is a good one reworked for the ump teen time soon coming to 7dtd learn by eating lol
7)Perception and Spear- Reworked
8)Wandering Hordes - Hmmmm back in the day there was always wandering hordes then they were gone now they are back guess i will chalk this one up as replaced something they removed.
9)Performance & Optimizations - Fixes OMG finally the moon musta turned blue and i missed it lol
10) Networking Improvements -Fixes
11) Server Administration and Multiplayer- Fixes
12) Other changes Prolly more Fixes
13) Modding Improvements Last but not least more fixes
14) Doors - Phew cant forget the doors very important one here gonna give me at least another 100 hours of game play LOL
15) POI and Biome Difficulty Improvements Same stuff made with lvs of difficulties

17) Survival Rebalance -reworked/revamep
18) Perk Overhaul - Reworked/Revamped
19)More zombies now utilize the new gore system dont know about this one still not content but i will chalk it up to another system they can revamp/rework a million times
So there you have it and out of all that whats the one thing missing out of all those things listed if you said actual CONTENT you are a winner. Things like mini bosse/bosses, Survivor camps with actual npcs other then trader that have quest to help them and help them fight a mini horde attack stuff like this actual game play material. So once again i will say it again we have alot of reworked and revamped stuff to do the same exact thing only a diff way and made prettier but hey thats just me.
3. Balancing
4. New feature, and also balancing. Not calling it content per-se, but it's a new mechanic which is expected during Alpha development.
5. New feature. This was done to improve gameplay for those that wish it, and a much needed feature for dedicated servers. I wouldn't call it added content because the core feature already existed. It just now has an added mechanic that makes it useful.
6. A system they have been building towards and discussing for years. Not unexpected. Besides, don't you eat the magazines now?
7. Bug fixing and system re-balancing.
8. Wandering hordes haven't left. You're almost completely wrong here. Originally their pathing was directly at the players location, in almost GPS-fashion. Especially if you weren't moving around much. Several builds ago the deploy pathing was changed so that they targeted an area about 30 meters to the side of the player. Which led to them often being missed and never seen. Pathing has been improved, and new calculations for positioning have been added. They also aren't pathing as far away. Now you are again more likely to run into them, but they can still sometime be missed, unlike the original mechanic.
10 and 11. Correct, and much needed fixes that are still being worked on and improved.
12. You're blowing smoke here.
13. Workshop support is planned. Got to work on designing and improving the system. Again, this is basically expected during development.
14. You sure like smoke screens. This is about as effective as telling people to cure Covid by drinking bleach.
15. We covered this already in 4. You're just blowing ♥♥♥♥ out of your ass now.
16. A system that has been actively worked on since it was introduced, and now is finally nearing completion.
17. Yep, an expected change during development. Were you expecting something else?
18. Smoke and mirrors again. You're just bloating the list because you ran out of stupid ideas. You covered this already.
19. It adds to the immersion and the environment. This is what new content looks like.
