Cotton is no longer renewable... WTF.

Alpha 14 cotton is non-renewable. Why the ♥♥♥♥ would they do this? You pick up a 1 cotton, and craft it into one seed, and then plant it, let it grow, and you get 1 cotton back. So you trade 1 cotton for 1 seed and then 1 cotton.

Is this a mistake? Is there something I'm missing that can make cotton yeald 2 instead of 1? This is asinine.

Player-planted cotton plants should yield 2 cotton (cf blocks.xml) - however at a glance I think there may be an xml error such that plantedCotton2 upgrades to plantedCotton3Harvest (which is the RWG plant that yields 1 cotton) and not the correct plantedCotton3HarvestLarge (planted version that yields 2 cotton).

I would guess if you change plantedCotton3Harvest to plantedCotton3HarvestLarge on the line

<property name="PlantGrowing.Next" value="plantedCotton3Harvest" />

of the block plantedCotton2 in blocks.xml it will fix it. Give it a try.

Could it be that I need to plant to cotton on dirt I've tilled with a hoe? Or is the only possiblity that they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and I'd have to edit the xml file to fix it?

Yep gonna be fixed in first patch, xml error. I am going to wait. If you are familiar with xml you can try to fix it. Read this on the main forums 7dtd.
