If you're getting lag that is bad to the point that you're being hit from over 10 blocks away then it's not just the game that is being buggy here. You have another problem that is adding to your lag beyond the normal MP bugginess.
What's exactly happening when you're playing MP and how are you doing it? Your connection to the server, your own internet speed and computer specs, and other server related issues may all be playing into effect here.
I don't know if it is a server specific issue. If it is not one though, I would look closere to home for a lag fix if you catch my drift.
Thinking EAC probably has a decent bit to do with it....when people turn that off on their servers it seems to help things out quite a bit.
The issue OP has isnt shared by everyone...and in fact it seems like people who experience it are in the minority.
It IS an issue, however it isnt an issue most people have/experience.
I'd really like to see them drop EAC and use something that works, or pay EAC to update their software for TFPs so that it has a use besides screwing up performance for everyone and not stopping 90% of hackers
60 ping isnt anywhere close to being high enough to cause those issues.
There have been a couple people in the past few days mentioning lag when interfacing with containers and general zombie lag, and the issue was caused by EAC...when turned off those issues went away.
When talking ping, you're talking about delay in milliseconds...so 1,000 ping = 1 second delay.
60 ping = 0.060 sec delay Or in other words, you arent going to notice...unless you're Superhuman like this guy...

The average reaction time for humans is 0.25 seconds to a visual stimulus, 0.17 for an audio stimulus, and 0.15 seconds for a touch stimulus.
So the average human is running at a 250 ping reaction time or takes a quarter of a second to react to visual stimuli.
To experience what people are talking about they'd need a ping or overall processing time of around 2000-4000 ping.
