Robotic Turret Ammo

Is it worth using the AP ammo for robotic turrets? NOT Shotgun OR SMG turrets, just plain regular normal basic robotic turrets.

Yes.
Twice the cost but that's only iron.
You get penetration, more damage and armor reduction.

e: more into game more AP should you use - and it doesn't go only for turrets

I don't personally bother with it, regular ammo can be made out of the backpack and uses half as much iron for almost the same results. If you're facing a lot of armored zombies, maybe. Or, if you have the penetrator perk which allegedly applies to AP turret ammo.

Turret shells on the other hand I have heard outperform regular and AP, especially at close to mid range but I've never tried them.
