Can't wait for "abandoned factory" and "overrun factory" and my personal favorite, the "abandoned, overrun factory."

:winter2019joyfultearsyul: While amusing, I rather suspect they are not so plainly named. At the very least it'll be differentiated by type; Shamway Factory, Printing Factory, Crack a Book Factory, etc. But more likely to be creative names, imo.

Yeah... been there a few times myself. It's right after the crossing on the right where the other street comes in.

It's three ruined suburban residential homes down past the first half complete residential home on the left, not the two half complete residential homes on the right, which are next to the rundown motel across the street from that other rundown hotel...

It's a shame really, that not a single street sign survived the zombie apocalypse..

Well when you have a buncha lunatics running around with wrenches and stone axes dismantling things, Anything useful gets pried up pretty quick.. Street signs are easy to use scrap metal. Bet the bandits made off with em ages ago to use as weapons and base plating. :D

Actually, in A20, there's a few of 'em left... but I don't think they'd make any sense since they probably repeat over and over in other places in the same town.

20 road names duplicated across 3 towns...nah that won't happen in reallife...

Wait, where I live theres 3 towns next to eachother, (like 20miles from one side to the other side.

4 courtland roads (and various close/drive etc)
3 Foxhole roads
6 Hayes roads (This roads been cut up a LOT over the years XD)
Hope they get creative with the names like Ol' Leg Breaker, The Crippler, Dam That's a Long Drop and Screamers on Parade.

I seriously hope they have a lot of homages to the horror industry. Like the elm factory for elm street or crystal lake bottling factory or any myriad number of others. Maybe even something london related.

They have a number of these types of POI's in the game already. I expect we will see more in a21.

Will the new names appear in the trader job offering dialogue? Vanilla doesn't show any name at all in that, just the job type and the distance. I've just started War of the Walkers (I'm working through all the overhaul mods I can find, which is a lot of fun) and it makes so much difference seeing the POI names in the trader job offering dialogue. Even with the current names it's a big improvement over vanilla.

I live in an urban sprawl that's half a dozen towns that grew into each other. Lots of duplicate naming there. I was caught out by it once. I was on the other side of town, which I didn't know, and decided to walk home for some exercise. Maybe 5 miles. It was a nice day and I had a good audiobook. There was a large road with the same name as a large road a mile or so from my home. Must be the other end of the road. Get my audiobook on, start walking. A while later I realised I'd got it completely wrong and was now a couple of miles further away from my home. Two different roads. They had the same name because they were both heading towards the same place, which they were named after.

I saw a stranger one today. The building numbering on the very short road was 4,6,2,4,6,8,10,12. Must be fun for anyone delivering to that road. Number 4 or the other number 4?

I initially misread "3 Foxhole roads" as "3 Pothole roads". Where I live, "Pothole road" could describe at least half of the roads :)

It will hopefully work great for things like "Downtown Filler 31." I mean we still get things like "red_mesa" etc.

But when you get down to some...bland style houses, "Tudor_03" or "Modular_07" is going to be hard. Limited textures available, how are you going to differentiate. I mean "Sinkhole House" will work, but then you have surprises pop in that, when described, may ruin it for your first time run like "House_Tudor_01"
