Bullet stack size
To make late game more play able can the devs up bullet stack size to at least 300?

Thx's I guess. But you shouldn't have to go to some websight or some learn basic coding to fix what should already should be base-game.

Because the game supports giving you thousands of rounds to use at your choosing. Because the game enables infinite ammo crafting via infinite unmitigated resource nodes that appear in every biome. Because the people making the game seem to have no desire to make ammunition more scarce nor difficult to obtain.

So I could flip the question. Why DONT you go through that much ammo? Is watching the zombies go through a maze of traps and fall into a pit more fun for you? Do you just prefer melee? You never get bored of aiming for the head every single time like a robot repeating its programmed actions? You must have tons of ammo lying around right? Are you saving that so that when your playthrough comes to a natural end, you can tuck your ammo into your .DAT file on your harddrive and put it to sleep like a coddled wee one? Whats the point of that... use it or lose it.

The people who prefer to shoot their infinite ammo would prefer larger stacks. It doesn't need to be debated, it's a playstyle the game WILLINGLY supports.

I can use the sniper and just shoot zombies in the head every horde night. One round per zed or two depending on their armor status. Sometimes three. Thats fun for a few horde nights. Then some nights I just say screw aiming and rat-tat-tat-tat with the MG. Because its fun. and Because the game ENABLES me to have 3 gun safes worth of 762 by the third week. So - we'd like those ammo to stack a little better. Not so crazy.

Some people build tiny houses in the game. They'd only need a building block stack size of 50. But guess what, its 500. You can stack 500 blocks. Thats nice, it supports people who want to build bigger houses, because the game enables that. Now, play that same two sentences over but apply it to ammunition.

I don't need an increased stack size for horde night, always have boxes of supplies handy for those. It's the runs through an infested prison/correctional institute ore other T5/6/7 that it would be helpful. However, once I reach those poi's I usually have a drone for extra ammo storage so I don't think the increased stack size is really necessary. Inventory management/triage should be part of a survival game. If it really bothers you then just mod it.

yee my drone carrys spare 7.62 4 stacks of 150 plus 5 boxs of it as well as my shovel however i do wish we could box up ammo doing T5 and T6 in wasteland i end up with sooo much extra ammo in my inventory and as i mostly use 7.62 for sniper and M60 the magnum, shotty, and pistol ammo just collect and collect and collect i mean yeah i been shoving a bunch into my 8 forges but still forges cap at 30k and dont need anything crafted atm and traders keep yelling at me to stop trying to sell them those ammo's :D at least if we could box it it would save alot of room

True, you shouldn't.

That being said, TFP doesn't really read the requests and suggestions we post here and I doubt they would care even if they did regardless of how much it makes sense.

If you want them to actually have any chance of seeing your request, go post it on their official forums. Asking for something like this on the steam forums is pointless other than for discussion purposes with other players.

We have 2 solutions: do nothing while waiting TFP to implement a request they haven't even seen, or fix it ourselves with a mod or xml edit.

Can you link me their official forums please?

The fact that 7.62 is capped at 150 really sucks as well, same with shotguns. Meanwhile 44 and 9mm stack to 300 while 44 is much more powerful and heavier.

Sidetrack.
Whats your opinion on AP ammo(762) - is it worth the cost?

Even if I aim towards the head, I use a full inventory of ammo on late gamestages of the game. You're not gonna have constant stamina to always aim to hit the head with m60. I also swap between guns during reloads too so your "Just click headz" isn't very helpful. The problem is the stack is too small for 7.62

xDDD... A another players who don't know to shoot well, don't know to clean his inventory, don't know to prepare a chest in the base anti-horde with all stuff needed to do a feral horde... But just know to kill on all thing moving...

Childish and rather assuming.

Look at their posts from before. And if anyone with a private profile assumes problem without evidence and acts like a god and says things that are illogical then they're clearly trolling. I wouldn't speak to this human brick wall.

No need, shoot in the head, that will use less ammo...
& that will prevent you from making holes everywhere unnecessarily... xDDD
This tells me you don't play on Warrior or higher with 32 or 64 blood moon spawns.

That can't be an argument, if you struggle with the challenges of the difficulty you selected the solution isn't to get the devs to make it easier, but to play on settings were the challenges don't bother you - or mod it/change the value yourself...
But regarding your problem, I think thats exactly what boxes (placeable and the munition stack box items) are for. And you can tell the devs do not want you to go without opening an inventory for millions of shots because otherwhise there would not be durability...

Pretty sure the game is working as intended...

I have a hard time connecting difficulty/interesting challenge to annoyance over stacksize.

The issue isnt even ONLY about stacksize in inventory for hordenights, its just as much about the daily logistics when sorting boxes etc

How in the heck do you use that much ammo...? Even on the hardest horde nights I've gone through maybe 1k at most. o_o And I've specialized at least once in every weapon for a full playthrough to day 100. Do you just fire wildly with no aiming? Or are you on extreme difficulty like insane x64 zombies (And even then, the max zombies you'll have spawn over the course of the night is tied to gamestage; doing x64 zombies just lets them come out in droves)

HOLD MY AUTOMATICS ;)
