The idea that TFP don't support modders is nothing more than an unsubstantiated claim, and I'm not sure where or how it even started since TFP have done a lot to make modding easier and have kept modders in mind when making changes. For example, they take away something like empty jars, blunderbuss, etc. Instead of erasing them from the game entierly, they simply comment them out so they can be put back into game with ease. Whenever you go to mod something. They will add comments to show you how it works and give examples.
You might wanna go with Java if you wanna point at a supported modding experience.
Cause the one you described is only given to official "addon" creators which by the end costs money.
I'm not asking to be rude or combative or anything. I'm really just trying to understand why you think this.
Doesn’t matter since MS makes millions of that
My dude, you brought it up, how does it "not matter"?
Java is more supported than Bedrock and that without any money given to the modders and we still got the glory that is the Create mod, all through sheer passion and later support by the community.
If your argument is that TFP should hire modders, then I say: Lets maybe wait for Gold.
Last I heard, TFP devs do provide assistance to modders for issues and questions that are beyond the scope of what the MVPs in the modding community handle. If TFP was against modding, they would never have provided a space on the official forums for mod distribution, modding development discussion, mod requests, and etc.
The creativity displayed there is quite breathtaking. Take a look-see: https://community.7daystodie.com/forum/22-game-modification/
If you are talking about a Steam Workshop, I suspect that won't happen until the game reaches Version 1.0. A community rep would be better able to answer that.
Besides, 7Days modders have been creating and sharing for the whole community, not just Steam, without a Steam Workshop for many years.
Workshop support will be provided around the time when the game goes gold.
The idea that TFP isn't supporting modders just because there is no workshop support is simply ignorance.
And honestly, if you actually took the time to do research before starting this thread, you would have known all of this already.
