But bandits weren't in a good enough state for A21 and they were already pushing it with how long they were keeping people waiting for a21, so they pushed it back to A22 and are planning a quicker turnaround for A22 than A21, since the main goal of A22 will be finishing and implementing bandits (as I currently understand it.)
This is good to know. Also, aren't you one of the devs or just a mod?
It'd be awesome to be crouched in your base at night, trying to be quiet, and hear a Harley come up the road and shut off just outside your base.......
Hey, I can dream :P
They would get eaten. The attrition rate on henchmen would be horrific.
Alpha 21 be like:
1) No bandits
2) No Glass jars.
3) No new zombies
4) No new cars
5) No new guns
6) No new content players asked for
7) Changes,changes,changes,changes
8) New UI, perks.
9) Many, many, many, many new things which are... hm... erhm... which are what, again?
sorry/ Jk.
They say it's a new game in A21. LEt's see if they are lying or not. Ha-ha. They are standing.
These are just the ideas i got from discussions.
The update list is huge. Check it out if you want to so bad you can't handle the wait. Will probably only stimulate the appetite. I don't think it can somehow spoil your "new" experience with the game.
Every single POI has been reworked to include the new infested quest (there are several hundreds of them) as well as the 70+ new POIs added, the game has had a graphics overhaul, there are hundreds of new blocks added as well as doors and windows, complete overhaul of the crafting/skill systems, water completely reworked and this is just a bit of the update.
All of the above has to be tested time after time and then the bugs and or coding issues reworked and fixed.
Are you really so naive to how much time and effort that this takes, that you sum it up as "it's just cosmetic changes, water gathering change, and the skill tree revamp" - Think you need to look into what it takes
The AI in this game isn't its strong suit and everyone knows this, its been prone to pathing issues and bizarre behaviours for literally years, and that was just for zombies and wildlife. To believe they'd program 'human-like' behaviour in an entity for it to shoot, take cover, etc, etc would have needed a lot of work in my opinion, and its only recently in the last year or so that they've been working on it.
It's probably also the reason why we've not seen any semblance of endgame material or "story progression" in 7 Days to Die for the last decade, and they keep delaying with early game progression so much. They just didn't have the groundwork done for Bandits or Active NPC entities.
And so, instead we have yet another redevelopment of the entire starting game, which lets face it, will probably get redeveloped again, and again, and yet again once Bandits become a thing in the far future.
I dunno who's actually responsible for the development path of 7 Days to Die in Fun Pimps, but they need to seriously sit down and get a development plan going, and just stick with it. Because ten years is an awful long time to be dragging your heels in the mud.
