The overwhelming hordes of the T6 is what it should be, an extra hard/challenging quest. I´ve had fun with it. unload the whole M60 Magazine and run during the reload, many times repositioning needed. Even the T4 and T5 infestation quests are with doubled zombies.
Robot turrets, either 2 shooting turrets or 2 sledge turrets (or a mix), at choke points. Stun baton knocking back whole groups. Sledge turrets can have the "burning shaft" mod installed, which sets enemies on fire. Slow dot. And every once in a while I have to dump half a clip from a machine gun into something (but I try to avoid using ammo up).
If you're using up tons of ammo, it often means you're using weapons you don't have any attribute points in. Attributes give huge bonuses to damage with a weapon. Someone with level 10 fortitude is going to do WAY more damage with an M60 then my level 10 Intellect character.
Dont misunderstand me, I'm having a lot of fun with that game and with this release.
That's a good point. Losing 1000 rounds of ammo for something even decent, isn't really worth it. Aside from fun I mean:)
I am fairly sure this is a myth, they may not answer as DEVs, but I bet some are looking here.
The quest rewards for every tier so far have been fairly crap though. I can usually craft the same items or better.
