How to get broken glass in A21?

Title.

Glass doesn't seem to drop from paintings or windows anymore, and I need it to craft scopes. Is it just not possible to not get it in A21?

Melt sand, now you have glass.
Collecting broken glass from windows.

Windows don't give glass anymore as far as I can tell.

destroy mirror cabinets with an axe. They give 2 broken glass each.

I think its maybe a rarer drop now? I occasionally get it from breaking windows etc, but less than 50% of the time

Rare drop could be true. I don't care for windows anymore. Mirror cabinets are the way to go for me. They are reliable. I like reliable things. :-)

its still around from all the usual suspects, but its a lot less common now, only had a few bits myself from smashing windows.

Go to bars/pubs, restaurants and hit all the broken glass or bottles on tables. It adds up fast as broken glass is everywhere. But yeah, much harder than when we could just break windows. No idea why this changed. Should have been the lowest thing on developer radar.

Fix zombie hitboxes and funky animations first, sheesh.

It's rarer to find intact windows. They probably added this to wean people off of collecting glass en masse. The creamery POI is still a go to source. Also look for broken glass on floor near broken windows or counters.

Trash on the ground (looks like green broken bottle + plate) in any POIs :)

you can also make glass in the forge then scrap it thats the fastest way to get a larger amount of broken glass for making mods.
