I got my bike from the trader at day 6.
Its a good thing that your way to build up your character and equiptment is a bit longer and stony.
About the progress. Yea they need long. But they are a small studio and say what you want but the game gets better and better. Long way and long time but it gets better.
There are other games to play. If you want to stick with the Fun Pimps it's your call, but don't let the them slide or make excuses for them. Loyalty is a one way street. They don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about you because they already got your money.
(*) I know if I want to learn more about a skill I sure as heck don't go to the library or a bookstore - but start ransacking my neighbor's mailboxes. (Yes this was stolen)
I don't play default dude and I die I restart. I'm not putting 60 hours on a map to get to endgame either. If you like the slow grind, that's fine. I don't. My problem is there is not really anyway to control how long it takes anymore. As I stated above, the attraction of the game was how you can tailor the experience for yourself. Now it's their way or the highway. I'm choosing the highway.
So you can just choose your favorit itteration of the game and play it further. Or use one of the mods for it. Or just get ranted and don´t try to adjust your gameplay to fit with the current state of the game. The current experimental isn´t here to change one of the system. Only to find bugs, glitches, tech-problems and a little balancing. But the water and magazine system doesn´t change before A22 (when everything get new).
I like the realism that the new system offers. I don't have issues with water, so understand the freakout that's going on there. The book system before update was way too easy because I shouldn't be able to craft a level 5 steel club at day 13. Now it seems like its probably a day 50 and there seems to be no way to speed that up. It's my opinion on this alpha, but it doesn't seem like they checked game balance before launch. That is not a good sign of things to come.
Don't complain at a person who spent their money on a product that has is diminishing in its returns or tell them just play an older version. This thread was aimed at progression balance of this current update which we used to be able to control in settings. That choice is what made the game unique and gave it the longevity that it has enjoyed. Now if you don't like it you can kiss Fun Pimps ass and hope they don't just ♥♥♥♥ in your face.
They wanted to make the game take longer, so rather then add late game content to stretch the experience, they just made the content that the game has had for 2 and a half years take longer.
Thanks, but no thanks.
not sure what your talking about...i started a21 on release...every quest offers a box of books if you choose and the mail boxes have given more that i was getting in a20.
You need to read the entire post. We are talking about the recent update to A21 and discussed how much we were getting before as being a monsoon and now, post "fix", its a desert.
k bye
Yet another chuckle-head bringing nothing to the discussion, but felt like posting anyway. No wonder you like the grind.
