If your base is bigger than the area covered by the no-spawn bed area, then you're in for some unexpected visits.
You have several ways around that:
1. Renew your bed. Pick it up and put it back down. That should restart the spawn protection.
2. Or put that protection block you've received at spawn. It has greater area of spawn prevention, and has greater spawn block duration before it is decayed.
3. If your base is that humongous, I'd suggest modifying the max amount of simultaneous protection blocks(up to 3-4), max out their reach size and remove the decay.
LCBs only prevent RE-spawns of the sleeper system.
