Love the update btw
It was great to invest a few skillpoints in grease monkey to unlock vehicles earlier.
But for solo players skill\recipe books are very important, because they dont have enough points to unlock everything in perks.
I think skillbooks should stay, but they should be considered an extra option to unlock recipes, while perks unlock them like before, whitout relying on luck.
I agree. That all came too easily, too quickly. You barely needed to use the bike. And as for weapons, you could pretty much get an AK or something powerful right away. The pipe weapons barely ever needed to be touched. I think that takes the fun out of early game.

it is really making the game have a more enjoyable pace.
but yes they do need to be tweaked a bit for how they drop
that is why this is in alpha rather than saying i just hate it give informative feed back on the official forums.
Can you supply evidence for this knowledge? Otherwise, Hitchens razor.
So for me this system hits the nail on its hard little head, as far as realism goes.
Otherwise it needs some serious tweaking in order to foster a more satisfactory progression while avoiding incentivising undesirable player choices. Like dumping points into Int perks so you more quickly boost crafting, at the detriment of boosting your primary offensive choice.
