pathetic
Stone axe? 100% of the time.
Wooden club? It's a quick first weapon that is easy to use.
Bow? Simple ranged weapon with readily accessible ammo.
Bedroll? Yep.
Couple blocks to reinforce your chosen home? Yep.
Campfire? Definitely
The only thing that stands out of the questline to me as something not everyone will craft on day 1-2 is the plant fiber clothes. The existence of the newbie debuff makes doing so needless since you'll definitely find wearable clothes before level 6.
Just go on your day, Do the things you want to do and the quests will basically complete themselves within 2 days tops.
I find it a little amusing that you want all the reward for the quests despite skipping them, though.. More power to you, I guess?
But given the low priority, a modder could technically do that.
"pathetic"
Guess I value my five minutes more than you do. This gets especially tedious when you are starting your umpteenth run, at which point you have absolutely nothing to learn from the tutorial and the repetition just becomes aggravating.
"want all the reward .. despite skipping"
lol COME ON are you absolutely honking serious? This isnt a job, this isnt real life. Get an absolute load of yourself, this honestly just made me laugh. What it IS is a game, and the game is pretty well designed around getting 4 skill points before you start running around, gaining xp, and fighting zombies. So yeah, I would like to be able to start that way as TFP have had us all starting since how long now?
As for your comments about what is needed or not, thats YOUR list. Here's mine:
Stone axe: yes, agree.
Wooden club: Maybe if that is what I want to run with, otherwise no. For A21 I heavily favor spears, for example. Why should I be forced to make this?
Bow: Probably gonna make this, but frankly I dont need to at the first minute and probably wont anyhow until I am running towards the nearest POI target and have collected enough feathers to actually make it useful. So again, why am I pushed into crafting it immediately?
Bedroll: Not a chance, I scrap this immediately and wont bother making one at all until I have started a base. I also play perma-death so frankly, the only reason I even craft it at all is for the zombie spawn restrictions.
Couple blocks: Not until I am entering a POI that needs them. Note I dont gotta upgrade one of them either.
Campfire: lol come on. I know you dont use that thing the minute you spawn in. And you cant pick it back up. So please think about your answers before you come off sounding entirely insincere.
So there you have it. What do I really need to craft immediately? A stone axe, probably a spear, and not on the list, a bone knife. That's it. I like my list a lot more than yours.
Anyhow, I dont mod any of my games, dont know much about it, and was hoping for a simple answer instead of sanctimonious pearl clutching and "get gud noob" pointless flak about something that has absolutely no importance in your own lives. Im willing to bed quite a few people are tired of the tutorial. Most games for that matter have the option to skip one.
Hi, I'm wondering if you ever got a suitable answer or found a mod? I have modded the initial quest out of my own game. It's a simple mod. There may be mods on the Modding site to do this as well. I agree that the tutorial quest should be an option for experienced players.
