Can I perma clear out a house and make it my base?

I spawned near a house. I just finished clearing it with my club. Normally I make a base right away. Just for fun i was wondering now that its clear and I have a bed in there. Will the zombies just rando respawn in my house or can I make this house my starter base so to speak

Place a land claim block in the house and you'll be good, no zombies will spawn. You should start with one, and if not, just craft one with some rocks

Both the bed and land claim block have a radius around them that will prevent zombies and loot from spawning/re-spawning. While you can place both down at the same time in the same place, only one of each can be active at a time. Also, the land claim block will prevent other players from building in your base unless they are grouped up with you in game.

actually, just placing a bed and a land claim block will help, but i had a few respawn on me, the way i fixed it is a place a item over the spots the zombies respawned on and that seemed to fix the problem
