Because if you are, it's only OP if you play specifically like he does: Optimizing the fun out of the game.
I'm on day 11 and still using a bicycle. Never got robotic turrets and not getting enough water to mass produce the duct tape for them. Also, speccing into intelligence means robbing yourself of other useful perks like miner 69er and motherlode.
but you can literly do/get anything on day X just a matter of how you setup the game.
YOU LIAR OP!! WHERE. IS. MY. GYROCOPTER!?!?
i have even played for a few game days not spending any skill points and had no problems. you find a wide range of mags./books/gear even then but just 1 point into engineering and i had all the mags within 14 days (that's with my slow patient plodding style of game play).
Yes, because it is amazing to watch. Do I play like that? not even close. Do I understand the game better every time I watch? Absolutely. Do I accept such an extremely limited definition of "fun"? probably not.
FWIW, with the gas shortage, I just tweaked the bike xml to have a large inventory, that is my "endgame" vehicle. I don't find scrounging for gas to be all that fun having done it many times. I usu have built it by day 2 or 3, with an intellect focus (lockpicking/greasmonkey).
IzPreBuilt is overpowered.
not to take anything away from the content (it's good and informative), but having as much play time and experience, for as long as he has played. ANY base perk build is "overpowered" there is no need to "nerff" based on one persons ability to use their experience better or more optimized than the regular anybody else that isn't there yet. also.. he looted that turret second day. luck does have a little to do with it as well.
i suggest we "nerff" IzPreBuilt instead..
all the best.
But TFPs played strength and wanted it that way. Well it looks like one of them at least wanted to play something different, so I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the nerf.
You all might just have to pick up that stun baton and go for it. EWW, YUCK. :)P
All of that time the Int player is still using the pipe baton, which can't use most mods (flaming shaft, which actually does not look like a flaming shaft, since a weapon that burns the hand that uses it is just . . . uh never mind, it is perfectly balanced Pimp logic : )
pipe baton is only pipe and leather, no duck tape needed. a couple rabbits or deer, office chair even and a kitchen sink or toilet. very manageable on day one.
also, 1 point in lucky looter and i've been averaging a stun baton on day 3. no joke. just target the mo powers, trucks and poi's, the RNG seems to want to give them away. heck last game i got 2 junk turrets on day 1. standard loot settings. been restarting alot so this is about 12 games now and i never go but a couple days without a stun baton.
that said, watch izprebuilt absollutely wail on a starving tourist for 20 minutes and still not kill the thing because its damage output is so low. The stun effect is great, but given how long it can take to kill anything you need that crowd control and low stamina usage to keep from getting over run.
watch izprebuilt. that said, he got lucky in that there were a couple of bookstore POI's and he abused the quest system. but still, it wasn't that hard. the book system is extremely abuseable, especially in the intellect tree. Its stupid, but spend your points not on the skills you want, but the books you are going to need, which is how you have to play the game anymore anyway, and you can, with a little luck, rocket to the end game gear.
keep in mind, that means its not the intellect tree that needs reworking, but the magazine garbage.
