I have not seen the issue of Red Tea not working properly with the mod installed, least I still see the icon show up and it saying my Gastro is more efficient.
Where you could just go completely off the wall with different ideas.
Granted that being said, I think you'd have to have a dedicated team of developers to actually make something like that super viable. Cause it would probably require a lot of hotfixes once they actually came out with an update of that sort, as there are always the unforeseen things that can happen from stuff of that nature.
But love the idea, would absolutely be thrilled if they did add something like that in the future.
IIRC eating a Sham sam will still take off 5 hp even with a vitamin, and eating a vitamin will drain water and dehydrate you.
My point is if the water filter mod had a chance to mutate you most players will go nope.
It already has a very limited use in early game or for topping off your water which isn't needed after a few days and you have water taken care of. Before this Alpha I had never even used it, what you are suggesting will put it back into the never use category.
The limiting factor to that "cheese" is the patience for dipping your hand to drink repeatedly for maybe 5-15 minutes.
I tried recently to see if there was some upper limit for stacking water points like that, but once again I grew bored before I reached it (if a limit exists). The amount I stocked up on, tho, lasted about 1.5 real-time hours before thirst meter started to drop again. That was with a lot of mining, running, tree chopping, some combat etc.
So I don't think that "limit" exists anymore.
Also, should be noted that I'm pretty sure you could "stack" thirst meter points with crafted/bottled drinks too, just drink over and over, it's just those cost a lot of resources to make enough to do that to any great extent, vs. "free" head filter.
