You opt into and use features from developer/debug mode at your own peril.
And there is a difference between developer mode and cheat option on. They remove abiltiy to gain achievements and collect rewards in exchange for buggy feature which you said isn't fully functional
Cheat option 'on' literally just auto-toggles Creative Mode on. That's it. It saves you from hitting F1, typing cm and hitting enter. All the commands are accessible whether cheat mode is on or not.
And the point is you ideally aren't meant to be using buggy features; It's in there for testing, and for people who really want to use it even though it's buggy. But dev mode enables a LOT of other functionality too, and the game doesn't distinguish between which features you are or aren't using.
You said we ideally shouldn't suppose to use buggy feature. Yet it is there for us to use and complain to developers. Give me 3 reasons why there is a buggy feature is developers do not collect opinions nor effects of it directly from us players
2: Because it's more trouble than it's worth to maintain two almost exactly identical versions of the game just so the developer features aren't available to the players,
3: Especially since players love to play around with developer features anyway, especially for the purposes of testing things out or self-correcting when a bug occurs and blows up their base or some crap like that.
Just because it's there and enableable doesn't make it an intended way of playing the game. There's a reason it's only accessible via the console and not via the cheat mode menu setting the way creative mode is. Creative is game design intended for the player to easily opt into, ergo the cheat mode option that auto-enables it. Developer mode is not; You have to know how to use the console and exactly which command to get what you want, and then the keybinds are all over the place because it's not for general player use.
Again, You opt into it at your own discretion and the results of that are what you get.
3rd person is a cheat though. Especially in a block building game.
In Box base scenario 3rd person allows you to spot exactly where a zed is beating your base as opposed to either runnin out of you base or block hunting what is damaged. Plus in any other area, pois for instance, you can do the same. Only fair if you cheat to lose out on achievements. Plus if you cheat to beginwith why do you care about achievements?
I've seen on Nexus and official mod website mods that improve 3rd person view, which improves shooting, building, mining etc. Will such mods contribute to possibly more failures with such 3rd person enabled, will it cause the came to crash more often? Cos I'd like to test 3rd person view but once i did, my whole save became broken
Never said im cheating
You said you use 3rd person mode. already explained why it is cheating. Comprehension is on you.
yeah on MP, which is something entirely different, u would know that. SP is different than MP. And you use 3rd person in the same way. I also used it on my first time playing with cheats on to get to know the game.
oof. I just created new world and had a look again. Ehh, only thing that bothers me is the character movement and animations XDD
The whole thing about third-person is seeing nice animations and great character models. Which is 7d2d lacks both for now. Yet, i'm sure you can find mods.
A static body with hand axe waving is enough for making you regret it.
true, true. As another person said they still working on it. But its nice to know that they are trying to implement it
