Ammo boxes?

I see these new ammo box....crates?? How do I harvest them? I've tried a pickaxe, a salvage tool, even my bare hands, it all just returns metal. Is that all it is?

Some of them can be searched and have a bit of ammo inside but 95% of them are just decoration.
If you need ammo, do "Clear Infection" quests. All of those have a special "Infected Chest" to loot which is stuffed with ammo of all kind.
Even a tier 2 infected quest can already net you like 250 rounds or so, goes up into the thousands in the higher quest tiers.
I basically did nothing but "clear infection" quest for a week and filled 2 storage chests with all the ammo.

I get shell casings out of them by harvesting but its like very little, like 4. But this was on 21a test, not full public release.
