7 Days to Die

Demolisher literally spawns at Day 7
Do they spawn at day 7 in the snow biome? I know game stage matter but that kinda surprised me a lot. I was gonna build my temporary base in day 7 for normal horde night but for some reason Demolishers spawn literally at day 7, immediately destroyed my front ramp and died and I have no idea what happened to cause them to spawn. Can anyone help or tell me what I did wrong?

Snow biome definitely ramps things up normally but I'm unaware if it effects horde night.

But as a suggestion for what might cause this, Are you playing with increased exp gain? Or with longer days than normal?

The game is balanced around your progression. At 1 hour days and 100% exp gain you get the defaultish experience.. But if you increase either, you also increase how fast you gain gamestage- And by extension, how fast the difficulty ramps up.

For example;
300% exp means you'll have acquired 3x as much exp in the same 7 days, meaning you'll be 3~x higher level and have 3~x higher game stage- That means a 300% exp gain Day 7 horde will be roughly equivalent to a day 21 horde.

2 hour days means you'll have twice as much time to get gear and gain exp to gain levels and by extension game stage- See where I'm going with this? On 2 hour days you'd be getting a 14~ day horde level of difficulty on your 7 day horde.

The real treat is when they compound- 300% exp AND 2 hour days means getting roughly 6x the exp in the same 7 days; Meaning your day 7 horde would be roughly equivalent to a day 35-42 horde.

Biomes gave a BIG game stage bonus that effects zombie spawns. Finally. So now you got to pay for that loot bonus.

Yeah biome definitely matters when it comes to spawns, Snow being one of the harder ones which for me is easily recognised by how common Bears, Direwolves and Mountain Lions spawn there.
Significantly more often than they do in the Forest Biome at least which can also spawn bears and wolves.

Wasteland I think is the hardest biome, that's the only place where i've failed a quest so far thanks to having a bunch of radiated cops dumped on me during a level 2 dig quest..
Was forced to use guns.. which attracted a bunch of feral wights and more radiated zombies so yeah, got the hell out of there fast and failed my quest lol

I've not seen any demolishers yet in this update, not even on horde nights and i'm several bloodmoons in, around level 45 and based up in the Forest biome, and i'm playing with a friend so our hordes are balanced for two people.
Worst we get during horde nights so far are normal cops and bikers.

But yeah, I hope he reports back with what his gamestage was at the time of this.

Oh I see, I didnt think of that way. Yeah I kinda got used to with 18 hrs + 300 xp gain with friends and had that as my default setting. thanks for the info, maaan that was a weird habit on my end.
