And carry always repair kits with you.
In fact I think we should have mods like "improved soikes" for more damage, and "reinforced bumper" which reduces impact damage to the vehicle. Bring on carmaggedon!
If I build a 10x10x10 reinforced steel cube and stand on top of it for the whole night, am I not also avoiding the blood moon?
If I go to one of the giant factories and just stand on the roof for the whole duration of the blood moon, am I also not avoiding it? Nothing done about that either.
So - they are fine with you turning off the bloodmoon entirely, they are fine with you averting the blood moon by standing on top of giant POIs OR self-made reinforced structures. But driving around during one? NOW they've got problems with you amigo.
It was pretty dumb.
Vultures no longer soar indefinitely. They now spawn randomly on top of the player and are now equipped with a "Zombie Bird Rocket System" that provides Air-to-ground missiles as well as 100% stealth detection.
Once the missiles are fired, Vultures will return to their Sanctuary (Coming A23) to recharge / reload.
Radiated Vultures (A22) will carry cluster bombs in addition to the aforementioned ZBRS. These cluster bombs can do damage to all structures, but are designed to prioritize any player - made structure, even if the player is currently not at said structure.
In A24, Radiated Feral Vultures will now possess Airlift capability. This means they can carry any Zombie (dependent on your game stage) and drop them inside your base. Again, you do not need to be present at said base for this to occur.
You're welcome.
I'm actually happy with the vehicle changes, it never made sense to me that I could hit a wall at full speed and just bounce off, and I love that vehicles can do lethal damage to zombies now. And fully repairing a vehicle with a piece of iron and a bit of tape never made sense.
I just very strongly think we should be able to drive during hordes (not simply to bypass them) and the new damage mechanic makes it reasonable.
... Then just play on servers with blood moon disabled?
I never got this " lets hide/run away" from the horde.
Just turn them off. I dont like the blood moon gimmick and i play without and thats it.
Have played that way for nearly 600 hours.
Why trying to find new ways to circumvent a game mechanic if you can just play without it?
Thats fake news.
The devs already confirmed that the airlift system will mean that they steal either one block from the player base, be it generators, vehicles, weapon crates, and make them disappear from the game entirely.
It was also confirmed that the player themselves is thje highest priority target, so the player will be caught by them in their talons, then carried off and deleted permanently from their game world.
There wont be a inventory anymore but 22 dedicated "flap wings" and "let droppings fall" keys.
The game will also be renamed "7 Days a Vulture" and the genre changed to "vulture simulator".
