Character Profile and games keep getting deleted...

Discussion thread got deleted, so I guess I'll post it again...

Each time (3x now) that I try to log in to play with my friend to continue our game, not only do I have to remake my character profile, but the game itself has been deleted... why? In the 10+ years that I've been playing this game, this has never happened before...

And when I tried to ask to see if anyone knew why. or how to fix it, my thread got deleted... pretty cool moderation.

In what way does this invalidate the fact that my files keep getting deleted?

I had a similar issue but it wasn't deleted. The game is sometimes making a "Programs" folder on your primary hard drive rather than using the normal "AppData" folder in your Users/#username# folder. I copied both the Save folder and the World folder to the AppData location and was able to continue fine with my previous play.

Your thread wasn't deleted. It was moved to support and bugs.

Before accusing moderation of being mean to you, you should actually look at your post history.

You keep making new threads in the wrong forum category. So moderators moved your threads.

When I attempted to see the response to my thread, Steam said it was deleted. It wasn't that I failed to see what the mods did, Steam misinformed me as to what had happened.

I'll try that out. I'm not sure why it's doing that, since they changed the used folder from Programs to AppData in A20 and I never had any issues with it.

Incorrect.

The steam message is that the thread was "moved or deleted". Notice the first word there.

This thread is being moved to the same location. Please try to learn how to use the forum correctly.

Didn't work. For some reason, the game is creating a new folder named Program on my C drive and then trying to use that. But it creates a new one to use every single time I restart my computer. So I either have to just never turn off my computer or figure out why it's doing that all of a sudden.

Having the exact same issue. Started a new save and played for a few hours last night, then jumped back in today to find that my save was missing, both in game and in the saves folder. After seeing this, I found it in a "program" folder in the C: drive.
